Practice Proposal – Section A: Organizational
Culture and Readiness Assessment

Before making a case for an evidence-based project, it is
essential to understand the culture of the organization in order to begin
assessing its readiness for EBP implementation.

1.Complete the “Organizational Culture and Readiness
for System-Wide Integration of Evidence-Based Practice Survey,” located in
the textbook appendix.

2.Develop an analysis of 250 words from the results,
addressing your organization’s readiness level, possible project barriers and
facilitators, as well as how to integrate clinical inquiry.

3.Make sure to include the rationale for the survey
categories scores that were significantly high and low, incorporating details
and/or examples. Also explain how to integrate clinical inquiry into the
organization, providing strategies that strengthen the organizations weaker
areas.

4.Submit a summary of your results. The actual survey
results do not need to be included.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines
found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An
abstract is not required.

Upon receiving feedback from the instructor, revise
“Section A: Organizational Culture and Readiness Assessment” for your
final paper submission. This will be a continuous process throughout the course
for each section.

Evidence-Based
Practice Proposal – Section B: Problem Description

Write a paper of 500-750 words (not including the title page
and reference page) on your proposed problem description for your EBP project.
The paper should address the following:

1.Describe the background of the problem. Tell the story of
the issue and why it deserves attention.

2.Identify the stakeholders/change agents. Who, or what
organizations, are concerned, may benefit from, or are affected by this
proposal. List the interested parties, patients, students, agencies, Joint
Commission, etc.

3.Use the feedback from the Topic 2 main forum post and
refine your PICOT question. Make sure that the question fits with your graduate
degree specialization.

4.State the purpose and project objectives in specific,
realistic, and measurable terms. The objective should address what is to be
gained. This is a restatement of the question, providing focus. Measurements
need to be taken before and after the evidence-based practice is introduced to
identify the expected changes.

5.5) Provide supportive rationale that the problem or issue
is an important one for nursing to resolve using relevant professional
literature sources.

6.Develop an initial reference list to assure that there is
adequate literature to support your evidence-based practice project. Follow the
“Steps to an Efficient Search to Answer a Clinical Question” box in
chapter 3 of the textbook. Use “NUR-699 Search Method Example” to
assist you.

7.7) The majority of references should be research articles.
However, national sources such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Department of Health and
Human Resources (HHS), or the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
and others may be used when you are gathering statistics to provide the
rationale for the problem.

8.Once you get into the literature, you may find there is
very little research to support your topic and you will have to start all over
again. Remember, in order for this to be an evidence-based project, you must
have enough evidence to introduce this as a practice change. If you find that
you do not have enough supporting evidence to change a practice, then further
research would need to be conducted.

OBJECTIVE

In this part of the project you are to assume to have been hired to join a team serving as an internal financial analyst to THE COMPANY. Your client plans to invest in bonds and (or) stocks issued by THE COMPANY (SELECTED BY INSTRUCTOR). In part 6 of the assignment you are asked to provide some recommendations to THE COMPANY’S management.

THE COMPANY for part 2 of the project can be the company that you were using for the Research Project Part 1 or ANOTHER COMPANY determined by your professor. a) Find the financial leverage ratios for THE COMPANY assigned for you of the project for the last 3-5 years in the Internet. Present these ratios as the table(s) in your project.

b) Write (about) 1 page of the analysis of the ratio results. In your analysis you should answer the following questions. Please explain your answer to each question.

If you are going to buy a bond issued by THE COMPANY, which bond would you choose? Why?

Are these bonds callable? If the bonds that you chose are callable (non-callable), will it change your decision to buy them?

If you are an investor who is looking for a bond to invest in, are you going to buy a bond that you chose? You should develop a specific recommendation, with supporting rationale to explain your answer.

-4- Collect and evaluate the data about stock performance of the assigned company for the last one year. (totally 35% of the project grade).

1) Find the market ratios for the company for the last 1-3 years and its major competitor for the last year in the Internet. (10% of the project grade)

Present the market ratios as the table(s) in your project.

Write about 1 page of analysis of the market ratio results that you found. Compare the market ratio results against the industry or main competitor. In your report please answer the question: Are the common stockholders receiving an adequate return on their investment?

Compare the P/E ratio of your company with the industry average or 5-year average. Is the stock overvalued, undervalued, or properly valued? Why? In accordance with your findings, is it reasonable to buy the stock? Please explain your answers.

-2) Analysis of the historical stock prices trend for the last year. (10% of the project grade)

Collect and evaluate the data about stock prices of the assigned company for the last one year for the company and its major competitor.

Create the chart(s) using the stock price chart tools on the websites or Excel. Present the chart(s) in your project.

3) Apply the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) Security Market Line to estimate the required return on THE COMPANY stock. Note that you will need the risk-free rate and the market return. Show this information in your project. (15% of the project grade)

b) Between 1926 and 2014, the compound annual rate of return of S&P 500 is estimated a 7.5%. We will use this number as the market return. Discuss how appropriate this rate is as a measure of return.

2. There are several methods how to calculate the growth rate. One of the possible ways is to calculate the sustainable growth rate as g = ROE *(1- Dividend payout ratio). Calculate the company’s sustainable growth rate. Please show your work.

3. Apply the Gordon model (constant growth rate model) to calculate the intrinsic (economic) value of the stock. Please show your work.

Please note that for some companies it is not possible to use the Gordon model. If that is the case, please explain why it is not possible to use this model for your company. What other models is it possible to use?

4. Compare the result of your calculations with the current stock price. Is the stock overvalued, undervalued, or properly valued? Why? In accordance with your findings, is it reasonable to buy the stock? Why? Please explain your answer.

-5- Develop a specific recommendation, with supporting rationale for your client, as to whether the assigned company’s recent trend in financial and stock performance is of sufficient financial strength to warrant entering in a long-term investment in bonds and/or stocks of the company. Explain your answer (about 1 page) (10% of the project grade).

-6- Develop a specific recommendation, with supporting rationale for the COMPANY’S management – Think about the financial strategy of the company, how to best balance THE COMPANY’S financial leverage to optimize shareholder wealth going forward taking into consideration the company’s current market position, credit rating, dividend policy, etc. (10% of the project grade).

It affects the psychological adjustment for girls by causing them to mature and be more self aware and for boys by causing them to grow faster and become stronger. It can be a stressful, awkward time for them. If I had a teen who experienced puberty early, I would have open communication with them on what the changes happening to their body are, what they mean, and how they can adjust with them. I would also be open to answering any questions that they might have and be there to support and listen to them.

Puberty is a drastic time in boys and girls lives that lead them to adulthood. With puberty comes physical changes, emotional swings, and adjusting. Girls turn into young women, seeing external differences, as well as experiencing hormonal changes. Puberty is a time when many young girls can start to develop eating disorders from ‘feeling abnormal’ to their peers and shaming their bodies. Boys experience similar symptoms of physical changes and hormonal changes. Boys become stronger, taller, and develop a larger frame. If I were a parent of a young child who was experiencing puberty early, I would sit my child down and talk with them on what they need to expect and that I am there for them every step of the way. That everyone goes through puberty and it isn’t something to be ashamed of beginning sooner.
