• Identify one agency, bureau or department within the federal government responsible for upholding regulations that impact business operations. A few examples are the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) or Department of Commerce. Research and explain the purpose of the agency, bureau and how it directly impacts business.

The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:

• Write between 750 – 1,250 words (approximately 3 – 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
• Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
• Include cover page and reference page.
• At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
• No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
• Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
• Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

Six Rights of the Consumer

• Research and describe the six rights of the consumer. Provide a detailed analysis of each right and illustrate the importance.

Write a cause-and-effect essay.What brought about the event? What consequences resulted from it?

When you write your cause-effect essay, pay attention to the following: –Do not oversimplify the cause –Do nor oversimplify the effect –Avoid the post hoc fallacy. 

When you write your cause-effect essay, follow one of the following established patterns of organization: –If your essay is focused on the “cause,” identify the effect in your introduction, and then develop the reasons for or causes to that effect in the  body of your essay –If your essay is focused on the “effect,” describe the cause in your introduction, and then discuss the effects in the body of your essay.

Your essay should have at least 650 words, double-spaced, font-size 12
  — 5-6 paragraphs: 1 introduction, 3-4 body paragraphs, and 1 conclusion
  — In the introduction paragraph, make sure that you have a clearly-stated thesis, or main idea of your essay
  — Make sure that each of the body paragraphs should begin with a topic sentence, followed by supporting evidence
  — Again make sure that you have sufficient evidence to support your ideas and opinions in your cause and effect essay
  — The conclusion paragraph should summarize what you have discussed in the body of your essay with emphasis on the main points of your essay that support the thesis stated in your introduction

Quality Car & Truck Leasing, Inc. v. Sark

Michael Sark operated a logging business as a sole proprietorship. To acquire equipment for the business, Sark (and his wife, Paula) borrowed money from Quality Car & Truck Leasing, Inc. When the business encountered financial difficulties, Sark became unable to pay his creditors, including Quality. The Sarks sold their house (valued at $203,500) to their son Michael Jr. for one dollar but continued to live in it. Three months later, Quality obtained a judgment against the Sarks for $150,481.85 and then filed a claim to set aside the transfer of the house to Michael Jr. as a fraudulent conveyance. The court issued a decision in Quality’s favor. The Sarks appealed, arguing that they were not actually Quality’s debtors.

A state intermediate appellate court affirmed. The Sarks “are clearly judgment debtors to Quality Leasing and the judgment has not been satisfied.”

Please answer the following questions:

1. What advantages and disadvantages are associated with the sole proprietorship?
2. What might the Sarks have done to avoid this dispute, as well as the loss of their home and their apparently declining business?
3. Why did the Sarks take the unethical step of fraudulently conveying their home to their son? What should they have done instead?

Once designers have defined what the operating environment will be within your chosen key assignment company, you will need to identify the problems with the current system as it may not be fulfilling the client’s operational objectives. The software may not have been designed and implemented with the proper user interfaces, may not be capable of handling certain user data inputs, may be too slow, or cannot provide the required outputs for the user. • Functional issues associated with your identified project and how you convert these problems into software/system objectives revolve around the designer’s ability to identify problems with the functional I/O of the software in place, or issues may be related to performance, architecture, interfaces, hardware, security, communications
• Various elements you considered in defining your objectives (system security; ease of future modification and expansion; program needs; allowable operational changes; costs; level of effort; time schedules; and reliability, sustainability, and availability)

Provide the sections above, and ensure this is added to your Week 1 project along with any instructor recommendations. This project therefore should be a consolidated project from week to week. Ensure the rules of APA format are followed.
