research Proposals and plan:purchasing a car, English homework help

Research Proposals and plan-

  1. The topic you have chosen, “Purchasing a car.”
  2. The Purpose: A description of why it is being purchased and other information. (Make it up, keep in mind that this your first time buying a car)
  3. The Audience: For whom is your report intended? What will this audience be interested in? What will they need to know to be convinced?
  4. What are your focusing questions and their answers?
  5. What is your focused topic?
  6. What are the questions you will need to answer with your research? (ex – What are some important things to know when looking for a car? How can I tell if a car’s asking price is reasonable? What kinds of features are important? What kinds of cars exist in my price range and with my other requirements? Which models have the best safety record? Which models will require the most gas? Which models will need the most repairs?)

focusing topic and preparation –

  • What is my price range?
  • New car or used?
  • If used, how old can it be?
  • Are any particular types preferred or excluded? (sedans, convertibles, sport cars, SUV’s, etc.)
  • How important is fuel economy and other costs of ownership?

As a result of these questions, you might decide that you are going to research only reliable used sedans or coupes no more than six years old with a price range of $5,000-$8,000.

Financial Crimes and Schemes

Part 1. Assume that you are on a team of forensic fraud investigators. You have been assigned to the following case:

For many years, XYZ Credit Union in central Wyoming provided financial support to many members of the West Lake community. The credit union issued loans and additional services that helped many in their community to fulfill their dreams; that is, until an internal auditor attempted to trace a sample of outstanding loans to a collection agency and found the names of at least 7 fictitious individuals and businesses. The employee immediately alerted the bank’s board of directors that something suspicious was going on.

The board of directors has contracted your team to find out what has happened.

As a team, you are tasked with preparing a formal forensic report that answers the following questions in detail:

  • What do you know about this crime?
    • What is the origin of this crime?
    • What areas of the company or individual assets were compromised?
    • What are the internal controls?
    • What are the external controls?
    • What crimes were committed?
  • What information do you need?
    • Who will you interview?
    • Devise a list of 5–10 critical questions that you will need answered.
    • Which accounting records will you need to investigate this case?
    • What are the external controls?
  • What is your plan for the investigation?
    • Which analysis will you perform to determine the cause?
  • What are your recommendations for the organization?
    • Based on what you learned in Phases 1–3, recommend solutions to deter crime.

Part 2. Based upon the information provided, design a compelling PowerPoint presentation for the board of directors that outlines your recommendations for storing sensitive data to prevent this kind of incident from happening again. Your presentation should include the following:

    • Overview
    • Findings
    • Recommendations
    • Conclusion

Your report may include illustrations or graphics. Please submit your assignment.

Discuss Antonio’s “Looking Glass Self”

Bullying…Change
Read the following essay, written by Antonio, a fourth-grade student.

The Bully in the Mirror
Antonio, 4th Grade

Mirror Mirror on the wall why must I be the
Bully that has to fall. I beat on kids around the school
The mirror told me it wasn’t cool. The mirror told me to change.
My ways I have beat up kids all by days. I have no friends.
It’s just not right. The mirror said cause you like to fight.
I am a bully how could this be. The mirror is starting to
Change me. Reflections are now flashing back to me.
Someone plant the seed inside of me. Now the mirror has
shown me poor. I’ll change my ways and start
new days the bully is no more part of me.
Any bully can change
Imagine that you are Antonio’s teacher. Antonio obviously wants to make a change. As a fourth grader, it is almost impossible to do this alone. Therefore, he has handed this writing piece to you, his teacher. Understanding that this transformation involves far more than you and Antonio, you will devise a plan to help him change his history and be a good person.

First, read the Kenny (2007) article and discuss how Antonio’s “looking glass self” has been influenced by the agents of socialization. Be sure to explain how this looking glass self is related to his “answerability” and what role that has in his desire to change his behavior.

Next, devise a game plan for Antonio’s change:

  1. Share one lesson or activity that can be completed with the whole class. The lesson or activity should focus on the importance of awareness and bully prevention. Describe the lesson or activity and how it will benefit the class as a whole.
  2. List one idea showing how the class can support Antonio’s change. Explain how you would help your students support their former tormentor.
  3. List one strategy that you can help Antonio implement in order for him to stay on the right path (e.g., literature, a check list, or a change in routine).
  4. Provide one suggestion you would share with Antonio’s parents, so that this change in behavior is a true partnership between you (the teacher), the child, and the parents.

Use the information from your text and the
Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center website to create your plan. You must include two scholarly sources in addition to the two given.

Criteria:

  1. Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length, not including title and reference pages.
  2. Must include at least two scholarly sources in addition to the text and required sources.
  3. Must be formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  4. Must include a title and reference page formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  5. Must be well organized and reflect college-level writing.

Feasibility of Keeping Apple Up-to- Date with Touchscreen Competitors Justification Report help

In this assignments, you will be building up a formal, researched justification report (one part at a time) that culminates in a recommendation to implement a particular product, service, or program in your place of employment. This recommended product, service, or program should resolve a problem that you identify in your workplace and should be directed to your employer (even if you do not actually plan to share it with your employer).

Use the basic outline below to draft Assignment 2. Organize your responses to each question under the following section headings:

  • List and detail five (5) criteria that you will use to measure the worth of each alternative in Question 2. Note: The alternative that satisfies the most criteria to the highest degree will be the one you recommend later to your employer (in Assignment 2.3). Criteria are standards that the audience values and are therefore used to measure the worth of each alternative (common examples include cost, desirability, durability, efficiency, time it will take to implement, and practicality).
  • Describe in detail how you will conduct the research needed to determine the best alternative to recommend to your employer. Note: This is a one to two (1-2) paragraph description of what research needs to be completed in order to evaluate the alternatives. This is not a detailed procedure for solving the problem.

Your assignment must:

  • Be typed, single spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

How has the relative size of your bank’s securities-to-total assets changed across the periods?

For this assignment, write a 5–10 page report examining the types of securities in your bank’s investment portfolio. You will also make some inferences about the factors that played a role in the selection of securities for that portfolio. The possible factors are discussed in your text and this assignment also examines the maturity structure of your bank’s securities portfolio.

Investment Data

Access the data for your chosen bank through the FDIC’s Statistics on Depository Institutions. Use the Statistics on Depository Institutions (SDI) to create a four-column report of your bank’s information and its peer group information. This report should span across the years. Note: For Report Selection use the pull-down menu to select Securities and view this in Percentages of Total Assets.

Analysis

For your analysis consider the following questions:

  • How has the relative size of your bank’s securities-to-total assets changed across the periods?
  • Does your bank have more or less liquidity than the group of comparable institutions?

Using the chart function in Microsoft Excel and the data by columns, create four pie charts illustrating the profile of securities held by your BHC and its peer group. Provide titles, labels, and percentages.

Using the above information, create a report of your bank’s securities portfolio and how it compares to its peers. Provide inferences concerning the factors, such as expected return, interest rate risk, and others, affecting the choice of securities.

Inferences for the Industry

Based on the analysis of the investment portfolio for this company, and bank management theory, as covered in course readings and research, what strategies and recommendations can you offer for managing the sources of bank funds? Provide support for your position from relevant sources.

The company that i have chosen for this is JP Morgan Chase

I have attached the previous paper to help with this paper if needed.
