Need  complete assignment with each question answered so all I need do is submit it.

I have inserted the assignment as well as the image,

Prompt: Consider the case example “Hidden Informal Policies” on p. 210 of your textbook, Generalist Practice with Organizations and Communities (8th edition). If you were the worker at the VA hospital, how would you feel? How could you prevent such an “Oo

Please submit one original post (400-500 words) and respond to at least two peer posts (75-150 words). Cite the text and the Martin chapter when appropriate. Although you must cite the text and the Martin chapter at a minimum to receive full credit for this assignment, you may also cite one or two additional relevant peer-reviewed journal articles if you wish. (Articles may be cited in either your initial posting or your responses to peers.) Be sure that you have addressed all parts of the required response.

When you respond to peers, respond as if you were dialoguing with them, so be sure that your posts are related to their initial postings. Your posting needs to deepen the discussion by adding an additional perspective, sharing new information, or asking an additional question to get your colleague to think more critically about the issue – it should not be a new posting on your part that doesn’t connect to the initial posting or a mere “I agree with everything you’ve said” statement.

Prior to submitting your posts, check them for appropriate grammar, usage and spelling. In the field of social work it is important to be able to communicate effectively when writing as well as when speaking. Errors in these areas will result in a lower grade for your discussion posts.

Assignment:

Professional Development Assignments:

  1. Given the increasing longevity of Americans and the costs of providing long-term care, anticipation of the costs should be a major element of every family’s financial planning. Current information suggests however, that very few families or individuals give this consideration. What factors might impede this advance planning? What measures might be effective in raising awareness among Americans about this important matter?
  2. Identify the major factors that have resulted in the shift in utilization from inpatient hospitalization to ambulatory care services. What are the implications of this shift for hospitals, consumers, and the health care delivery system as a whole?
  3. The recipients of mental health services in the US represent only a small percentage of those in need of services. Discuss the factors that impede access to mental illness treatment.

Please submit one APA formatted paper between 1000 – 1500 words, not including the title and reference page. The assignment should have a minimum of two scholarly sources, in addition to the textbook.

Body Weight Regulation and Sexual Differentiation

Body Weight Regulation and Anorexia

According to data by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, the
United States has seen a dramatic increase in obesity with all states
having 20% or more of their population being obese (U.S. Obesity
Trends). On the other hand, it is estimated that 8 million Americans
suffer from eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia (Eating
Disorder Statistics). These two observations point to the prevalence of
body weight concerns in contemporary U.S. culture. Given these facts,
what light do scientific findings shed on the problem of body weight
regulation?

For this week’s Discussion you analyze the complex factors that
contribute to body weight. You also assess the biological and cultural
influences related to eating disorders.

With these thoughts in mind:

PART 1 – WRITE a Post a description of how metabolic rate

changes with caloric intake. Then describe at least four influences on

body weight. Finally, explain how cultural influences might contribute

to eating disorders. Support your postings and responses with specific

references to the literature and Learning Resources.

PART 2 –

Application: Paper on Sexual Differentiation

Hormones play a crucial role in shaping the fetal body into either a
male- or female-typical body. The brain determines the type and amount
of hormones the fetus produces. Furthermore, hormones do not act alone,
but rather in concert with brain regions that regulate sexual
behavior. The brain, therefore, not only regulates sexual behavior, but
it is also shaped by the same hormones that prepare the body for
reproduction. These facts raise intriguing questions about gender,
sexual behavior and orientation, and the extent to which these are, or
are not, under conscious human control.

For this Assignment, you research and evaluate the current literature
on prenatal influences on sexual behavior, gender orientation, or
gender typical behavior.

The Assignment:

Select an article related to the process of sexual differentiation,
prenatal influences on sexual orientation, gender orientation, or
gender typical behavior and write a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses
the following:

  • Write a brief summary of the article you selected. Describe two
implications of the article’s findings. Explain whether the findings
concur or conflict with the body of literature in this area.
  • List one question that remains unanswered and is in need of further research.

“What must AutoEdge do to obtain economies of scale with production?”, assignment help

600-800 words

Because the decision about relocating manufacturing operations to the United States is so important, the board of directors at AutoEdge continues to systematically discuss every aspect of the situation.

The following week, CEO Lester Scholl meets you for coffee to discuss next week’s board meeting.

“I’m hearing good things about you,” he says. “Ingrid and George tell me you’ve been very responsive and helpful.”

“That’s good to hear,” you say. “I’ve enjoyed working with them.”

“We’re both busy, so I’ll get right to the point,” he says. “One of the main objectives of any business is to be efficient. Without efficiency, the company is essentially losing money. Am I right?”

“Absolutely,” you say.

“What must AutoEdge do,” he says, “to obtain economies of scale with production? How do we know that it has achieved economies of scale? Conversely, how do we know if it is achieving diseconomies of scale?”

“That’s a good question,” you say. “I can understand why you ask.”

But before you can respond, Lester’s cell phone rings. After a minute, he ends the call and stands.

“I have to get back to the office to handle an emergency,” he says. “Would you send me an e-mail with an answer to my questions, please?”

“No problem,” you say. “I’ll get it to you before I leave work this afternoon.”

“I appreciate it,” he says. “Thanks.”

HR Law 501 Lesson 14: Assignment

Lesson 14: Assignment

Please address the four question sets in the order in which they appear, inserting the number of the question set as a heading or in the first line of the response to that set.

QUESTION SET ONE

The Snappy Cookie Company (SCC) has plants in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois, where it produces snacks and cookies that are sold in grocery stores throughout the U.S. Earlier this year SCC decided to scale back the Chicago plant operations, where it has about 280 employees. SCC plans to start the process with some early retirement incentives, the terms of which have already been approved by its Executive Committee. The incentives, which SCC intends to announce in about 60 days, will be offered to employees between the ages of 60 and 65. The plant roster indicates that 45 employees will potentially be eligible for the incentives. Employees in that age group who happen to apply for early retirement before the early retirement incentives are announced will retire under existing retirement plan terms. Employees in that age group who apply after the incentive announcement will get the enhanced plan terms.

  • In light of the course reading, analyze SCC’s early retirement incentive plan of action. Be sure to:
  1. State whether SCC’s plan of action raises any legal issues. If so, identify the issues and discuss the laws that relate to them.
  2. Describe how SCC should modify its plan of action to avoid those legal issues.
  3. If additional information would be helpful to your analysis, identify that information and how it would impact your analysis.

QUESTION SET TWO

SCC wants to get a waiver and release of claims from each employee who accepts the early retirement offer described in Question Set One, which has now been modified pursuant to your suggestions.

  • In light of the course reading, describe the terms that need to be included in the waiver and release of claims documents, and identify the law that requires those terms.

QUESTION SET THREE

Because only 10 employees took advantage of the early retirement incentives, SCC is moving forward on the second phase of its reduction in force, which is going to be much larger than originally planned due to an outsourcing deal that SCC has just made with a former competitor. In light of that deal, which will be phased in over the next couple of months, SCC intends to layoff 45 employees this month and another 55 employees next month.

  • In light of the course reading, analyze:
  1. Whether SCC may have any WARN Act obligations and, if so, explain what it needs to do in order to meet those obligations.
  2. If SCC fails to meet those obligations, what liability could it face pursuant to the WARN Act?
  3. If additional information would be helpful to your analysis, identify that information and how it would impact your analysis.

QUESTION SET FOUR

The SCC job applications that the Chicago employees filled out contained nondisclosure, noncompete, and nonsolicitation agreements. SCC doesn’t care about the hourly employee commitments but wants to enforce the agreements against its master baker, Herman, who accepted the early retirement incentive offer last month. Under the terms of those agreements, Herman is permanently prohibited from (a) using or disclosing any of the recipes (which are available on the SCC’s website); (b) working in any capacity for any entity (including being self-employed) that produces baked goods in any state where SCC products are sold; and (c) soliciting any current or former customers or suppliers of SCC. SCC has directed its attorneys to go to court to get an injunction enforcing those agreement terms.

  • In light of the course reading, analyze:
  1. Whether SCC is likely to get an injunction enforcing those terms against Herman (be sure to explain your rationale as to each term.)
  2. How the terms could have been modified to enhance their likelihood of being enforced.
  3. If additional information would be helpful to your analysis, identify that information and how it would impact your analysis.
