Analyzing Changing Data and Definitions

Assignment: Analyzing Changing Data and Definitions

Data collection and dissemination may present challenges to those working in the field. However, knowledge derived from its analysis and interpretation will provide the basis for crucial events at the management level, such as planning and program evaluation, policy development and advancement, and the overall advancement of the public health agenda at every level.

For this Assignment, you will analyze how public health data and definitions have changed over the past decade, and you will evaluate the consistency and reliability of this data.

To prepare:

By Day 7

Submit a 2- to 3-page analysis and your critique of the paper (not including title page, references, or tables). Include the following:

  • What data sources were used in this study?
  • Did the authors use secondary data or collected primary data?
  • What variables (dependent, independent, and covariates) were included?
  • What specific trend is being examined?
  • Did the authors find any specific trend? and if yes, what you can say about the future of this condition based on their trend analysis?
  • Define validity and reliability and explain if you have any concern about the reliability and validity of data used in this study.

Support your suggestions with additional scholarly resources. Use APA formatting for your paper and to cite your resources.

  • What decision(s) were made in the case study
  • Do you believe the decisions were appropriate
  • Discuss any alternative solution(s) to the problem and support those solutions with additional research (with similar cases)
  • Conclusion
  • Bibliography
  • Make sure each section is labeled appropriately (Facts, Decision, Solution, Conclusion)
  • Citation style: APSA, APA, Chicago
  • All papers should use the following format: Times New Roman, 12 point font, 1” margins from left to right and top to bottom, double spaced, number pages, and include a title page.

Website Comparison 2

Website Comparison

This exercise asks students to review the usability and persuasiveness objectives and strategies for a comparable pair of websites for two airlines. Students will need to identify the guidelines that the Websites satisfy, along with the guidelines they don’t.

When completing this handout, an interesting website to visit is UX Matters. http://www.uxmatters.com/mt/archives/2009/01/beyond-usability-designing-web-sites-for-persuasion-emotion-and-trust.php

The link provided directs you to an article by Eric Shaffer published in 2009 titled “Beyond Usability: Designing Web Sites for Persuasion, Emotion, and Trust.”

Instructions:

1. Visit 2 of the websites below and explore them carefully.

Choose two sites to compare:

American Airlines Homepage: http://www.aa.com/homePage.do

United Airlines Homepage: http://www.united.com/web/en-US/default.aspx?root=1

Southwest Airlines Homepage: http://www.southwest.com/

Delta Airlines Homepage: http://www.delta.com/

2. Then complete the attached checklists for this assignment (2 are attached).

– Identify which site you reviewed at the top of the form. (ex. Delta)

– Assess the persuasiveness objectives (rankings) for each of the sites in the categories noted. Make your selections on the checklist by darkening, underscoring or coloring your choice.

3. Compare and contrast the two websites and address the following at the bottom of the second checklist:

A) Identify two design elements whereby the sites compare favorably in terms of their persuasiveness. Write an assessment as to why you think this is the case.

B) Identify two design elements where one site seems to be better than the other, along with your explanation as to why you think this is.

revise the problems according to the suggestions.

the main problems

1. you need to pointed out the background about research topic, why china and why Shenzhen ?

you need to have some overall background descriptions and statistical information of your research. such as : (suggested)

  • the city -Shenzhen ( the degree developed )
  • the international schools.

1. -Selectivity Is it competitive? Are there any entrance exams? how many students are enroled? What percentage of students? 2- tuition fees 3 – language of instruction 4. – International schools sector or system in the city that you are studying

  • you should focus on the parental choices, parental strategies-subjective understandings and experiences

Discussion Law

Thinking back on the last few months, consider a time when you encountered a friend or business associate who promised or agreed to do something but did not follow through. For example, did someone agree to sell you something but at the last minute changed the price? Or did someone agree to perform a service, but then later said he or she was too busy?

  • Relate the facts of your example. Then, based on the materials in the reading and lecture, explain why the facts you presented did or did not meet the legal requirements for a contract. Be sure to support your response.

Construction Storm Water

Safety managers are very often responsible for the development and implementation of SWPPP. These are the same course materials provided in Week 11 course materials with the exception of PepsiCo SWPPP. I just wanted to make sure you started working on your SWPPP during week 11. Week 12 is a very short one.

Also, attached you’ll find a SWPPP template that was provided in Week 11 course materials. It is sophisticated, but will give you an idea about all the elements of the plan.

Some of the BMPs suggestions can be seen here: http://stormwater.pca.state.mn.us/index.php/Post-c…

One of our students provided PepsiCo SWPPP (also attached) and I have permission to share it with the class. SWPPP’s that you’ll have to prepare will be more likely 10-15 pages.
