burnout and nurses, health and medicine homework help

Note : my topic is burnout and nurses

  • Choose a topic of interest to you that is a significant clinical nursing issue. Please note that the databases you identify could be useful sources of information for your Capstone project in NR451, so choose your topic thoughtfully.
  • Download the NR439_Research_Database_Form from Doc Sharing and type information about each database directly onto the form. Your paper does NOT need to follow APA formatting; however, you are expected to use correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and write in complete sentences.
  • Save the file by clicking Save as and adding your last name, e.g., NR439_Research Database_Smith.docx.
  • Describe your topic of interest. This is worth 15 points.
  • Locate a total of five research databases related to your topic. Each research database description is worth 30 points. You may search for these in various locations, e.g., the Internet or the CCN Library. You may NOT choose the databases that are already familiar to you – MEDLINE, PUBMED (which also indexes MEDLINE), GOOGLE SCHOLAR, and CINAHL. Instead, you are expected to expand your knowledge of evidence-based sources. Places to help you begin include your textbook, which lists databases and websites that report research. The Chamberlain online library (http://library.chamberlain.edu) gives you access to several databases and provide tutorials for searching. Government sites such as those at the National Institutes of Health offer collections of research on a variety of subjects. The key to choosing the databases is that each contains research-based evidence that also pertains to your topic of interest. Again you are looking for new databases to use in the future and not articles related to your nursing clinical issue.
  • Review each database to gather information to create a description for the assignment. Each description must:
    • identify the title of the research database;
    • describe the location of the research database in a way that a reader could find it. This should be the URL. This URL should take you to the home page of the database.
    • name owner or publisher of the source;
    • describe the research database. This must be in your own words and not copied and pasted from the original source. Include the purpose of the database and the subject matter it covers. This may be two to three sentences; and
    • explain how the research found in the database relates to your topic of interest. This may be a two or three sentences.
  • Submit to the Research Database basket in the Dropbox by 11:59 p.m. MT Sunday at the end of Week 3. Please post question about this paper in the Q & A Forum.

W4D1: Internal, The Counter Culture

Objective: Students will evaluate various social movements that developed from the 1960’s “counter culture” and explore the impact of revolutionary change among the American people.

The 60’s were a groovy time to be alive! The phrase “counterculture” gained it’s name out of societies negative response to the “status quote”. With economic prosperity from the 50’s, a Consumer Culture developed where commodities were affordable and consumers focused there spending primarily on the home and family life. A large part of the population wanted the “status quote”, moved out of the cities and settled in the suburbs where cookie cutter prefab houses lined the streets and every neighborhood child had a place to play. Additionally, where the post WWII generation rarely afforded an advanced education, the parents of the 50’s set aside money for there children to go to college. It is the children of the “status quote” that rejected the conservative culture of the 50’s. The children of middle class families were far enough away from the fears of global war and firmly in-bedded in the “counterculture”.

    Soc 308 Racial & Ethnic Groups D1

    Review the PBS website RACE – The Power of an Illusion as you prepare for this discussion. This site offers many examples of how the science of human difference contradicts ordinary ideas of race.

    As we see in the readings and in this website, race is socially constructed, a system of thought and human behavior not directly based on nature, instead resulting from social ideas and practices. In other words, race exists because people believe it is real and important.

    Please respond to the following:

    1. How has race been constructed in the United States?
    2. Provide a specific example of how race continues to be socially constructed.
    3. What groups are harmed, and benefit, from these constructions of race?

Review the posts of your peers, focusing on the social construction process. In particular, focus on example of the ways in which race been defined.
