M3 Discussion 2 – Family Systems Theory

In the Module 3 Section, “Videos of Various Therapeutic Models,” there are two videos

“Bowenian Family Therapy” and “Family Systems Therapy.”

In your Family Therapy text, Chapter 8, the text talks about Murray Bowen’s Family Systems Theory.

According to family systems theory, the following eight forces shape family functioning:

  1. Differentiation of the self,
  2. Triangles,
  3. Nuclear family emotional system,
  4. Family projection process,
  5. Emotional cutoff,
  6. Multigenerational transmission process,
  7. Sibling position, and
  8. Societal regression.

Based on what you have learned from the video and reading the text, choose one of these “eight forces”. Then describe your understanding of this concept and its importance in your original post.

You are required to post one original response to this Discussion thread and 2 replies to the original posts of your classmates.Cite your sources properly using APA style.

Personal Class Design Project – Part 1

Complete this assignment
according to the following:

1  Design a class that you would like to teach someday. The class
must be at least 4 hours in length and must be multiple sessions. It can be
four sessions of 1 hour each, or two sessions of 2 hours each, depending on
your topic and target audience.

2  Begin by describing the institution that is sponsoring the class
(e.g., academic, hospital, or community agency). Include the philosophy of the
sponsoring organization and how that will affect the course you are developing.

3  Explain how you determined a need for this class (needs
assessment).

4  Write a one-paragraph description of the class.

5  Identify the target audience.

6  Identify the learning resources you will use for the class
(textbooks or other resources).

7  Write the program outcomes for the course and the learner
objectives for each class session. Indicate which domains of learning are
represented by each learner objective.

There is no predetermined
length criterion for this assignment. It is intended that each student will
develop a class that they can use in their selected area of education.

Personal Class Design Project: Part 2

Using the “Personal
Class Design Project – Part 1” assignment you will complete the course
design to include learner objectives, outline, teaching strategies, and
associated evaluation, and method.

Using Part I, write and
revise the original learner objectives submitted.

Use the A-B-C-D method of
writing objectives. The objectives should incorporate Bloom’s taxonomy, be
written at the appropriate level for the audience, and include at least two
learning domains (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective). Refer to– Nursing
Education Seminar II: A-B-C-D Approach to Objective Writing” and “–
Nursing Education Seminar II: Learning Domains.”

Map out a class time frame,
outlining when to cover each of the content areas. Refer to “– Nursing
Education Seminar II: Lesson Plan Template.”

In addition to the content
area, include the class time frame:

8  Time frame for covering each topic area

9  Teaching strategy for each objective

10
How the learning will be
evaluated

Include rationale for each
selected instruction and the evaluation method used.

Support your rationale by citing at least three scholarly,
peer-reviewed resources (less than 5 years old) in addition to the course
materials
.

There is no predetermined
length for this assignment. It is intended that each student will develop a
class that can be utilized in the student’s selected area of education.

A-B-C-D Approach to Objective Writing

Writing objectives is much like
writing outcomes in the nursing process. Objectives must be measurable, contain
action verbs, be specific, include timelines, and indicate the degree to which
you expect the leaner to achieve.

A helpful formula to write
objectives is the A-B-C-D approach:

·  Audience:
Who is the audience for the class? Is it a student nurse? A staff nurse? A
participant in a class?

·  Behavior:
What do I want the audience to accomplish by the end of the class? An example
of a behavior is being able to identify the signs and symptoms of infection.

·  Condition:
How will students demonstrate mastery and be assessed in their learning? An
example could be that students will demonstrate their knowledge of a lab or
clinical area by taking a written test.

·  Degree:
How well will students perform their new knowledge? Should students be able to
identify all signs and symptoms of infection, or would it be satisfactory if
they identified only two symptoms?

A sample objective that
illustrates these points is: “After reading this lecture (condition), the
graduate student in the nurse educator track (audience) will be able to write
an objective (behavior) using the A-B-C-D approach (degree).”

The above objective dictates
that the student will be able to write an objective, as opposed to discussing
or identifying it. Since the objective says “write,” the student must write an
objective to meet this objective. If the objective instead said: “List the
components of a complete learner objective,” the appropriate evaluation would
require that the student list the A-B-C-D; whereas the objective “describe the
components” would have students describe the meaning of each A-B-C-D step.
Well-written objectives will dictate the evaluation process.

Nursing Education Seminar II: Learning
Domains

While objectives level the information to be
learned, domains of learning represent the areas in which one learns. The three
learning domains are cognitive, which represents intellectual knowledge;
psychomotor, which represents knowledge that requires kinesthetic or hands-on
application; and affective, which represents knowledge that is assimilated
through a change in attitude.

When a student learns the physiology of the
infectious process, it is cognitive knowledge. Psychomotor learning is
exemplified when a student learns to change a dressing over an infected wound.
Affective learning is demonstrated by a student who changes lifestyle habits to
decrease the transmission of infection or a student who learns to be
nonjudgmental toward patients with specific infections.

Since objectives must be measurable, words like know and understand are not suitable objective verbs. Requiring a student to
describe the pathophysiologic process and list the signs and symptoms of an
infection are examples of measurable objectives. Clear and well-written
objectives best communicate the educational focus and intent of the instruction
and inform both student and instructor as to how knowledge will be evaluated.

Complete Problem 50 in Chapter 10 on page 477.

10-55) A golf club manufacturer is trying to determine how the price of a set of clubs affects the demand for clubs. The file P10_50.xlsx contains the price of a set of clubs and the monthly sales.

  1. Assume the only factor influencing monthly sales is price. Fit the following three curves to these data: linear (Y = a + bX), exponential (Y = abX), and multiplicative (Y = aXb). Which equation fits the data best?
  2. Interpret your best-fitting equation.
  3. Using the best-fitting equation, predict sales during a month in which the price is $470.

How Art Means

Write a short paragraph about this artwork from Earl Lu Gallery exhibition, try to articulate what it means to you. Research the processes and purposes, the subject matter, choice and uses of the medium, aspects of form, and contexts to form a considered response.

(300-350 words)

Description of the exhibition: “Most People were Silent” (by Sim Chi Yin) is an exhibition composed of photographs taken in the vicinity of nuclear sites in North Korea and the United States of America. Collective titled Fallout, the series was commissioned in 2017 by Oslo’s Nobel Peace Center and has been reconfigured for LASALLE’s ICA Singapore.

The exhibition exposed the seemingly dormant threat of the nuclear, between and beyond the genres of documentary and landscape photography. Description of the artwork (files): Inside an anti-ballistic missile defense radar facility in North Dakota, designed to detect and intercept nuclear warheads and Soviet missiles.

Choice of uses medium: Digital print on Hahnemule paper mounted on aluminium composite panel (106.7 x 160 cm)

Risk Assessment Scenario (Obj. 6.1 and 6.3)

Part 2: Write a 150 word summary, discussing specific behaviors that lead you to create a risk assessment.

Part 3: Write a 500 word summary, discussing how you would assess the client. Include the following in your discussion:

  1. Questions you would ask to determine the client’s level of risk
  2. Protocol you would follow based on the client’s answers, including documentation
  3. Include at least three scholarly references in your paper.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

I HAVE ATTACHED the RUBRIC. Please review it.

5 page paper on pacifism, just war, and realism

I need a 5 page paper done on Just war, pacifism, and realism. The paper should argue in favor of which ever point you pick out of the three. It should be 5 paragraphs. first paragraph a thesis. second the choice you pick and arguing for it. The third and fourth paragraphs arguing against each of the other points and why whatever choice you pick is better. And the fifth paragraph should be the conclusion. I will provide additional material on the topics.

I Choose production to explain how you would account for the costs associated with that part of the business.

For your Milestone Two assignment, you will be analyzing actual cost to determine the profitability of certain areas of the business. To help you get started with Milestone Two, you will use this discussion to analyze a specific area of the organization and discuss with your peers all of the costs associated with it.

For your initial post, consider the Vinho Winery scenario. Choose either production or transportation and explain how you would account for the costs associated with that part of the business. What factors need to be considered?

In response to your peers, select a classmate who chose the business area that is different from yours. Do you feel your peer accounted for all of the associated costs? Why or why not? Which factors are the same as the factors from the business area that you chose? Which factors are different?

US Accounting industry

This semester we have been learning concepts and crunching numbers. I would like us to also take a look at what is currently going on in the US Accounting industry. Please find a news article relating to some type of US Accounting matter from the past 6 months. It should not be too hard to find one (try looking in the business section of a major newspaper, or search: accounting news), but let me know if you run into any issues.

Once you find an article, summarize the article in approximately one to three paragraphs max (depending on article length). Write the article summary as if you were going to summarize the article to your direct supervisor. It should be to the point, highlight the major topics, and include important outcomes. Please note your article source (either as a link or cut/pasted) within your document (it does not need a specific reference format – e.g., MLA). Also, if you feel inclined, please give your opinion on the matter discussed in your article. This can be submitted as a uploaded Word document or simply posted within the available text submission section of the assignment.

Please respond to all questions. Include references and citations.

1.Discuss Mahler’s four sub phases of separation. Provide examples for each sub phase and how you as a caregiver/educator can help facilitate this process to benefit the student.

2. Brain research tells us the impact cortisol levels play in a child’s development. Explain.

3. Does doing artwork enhance a young child’s creativity, imagination and self-esteem? Explain.

4. What kind of assessments are used in your school? How is technology used to assess student learning in your school?

5. NAEYC standard 1 states: “Using developmental knowledge to create healthy, respectful, supportive, and challenging learning environments for young children.” How can teachers make this goal a reality in the classroom setting? What do they need to do specifically?

6. How will you ensure that you uphold the NAEYC standards in your future interactions with children? How will you know that you’re meeting these standards?
