Read Case # 7 in the textbook, page 469 on Ticketmaster – Making Better Decisions, and answer the following questions:
1. Identify the problems that Ticketmaster was facing, using cause and effect analysis. What were the Symptomatic Effects? What were the Underlying Causes?

Essay 2 is a contextual analysis essay preferably on at least one of the works (including visual art) we have studied after Essay 1. (If you wish to focus on a works from the first half of the semester, you may do so, but you should not write on the same text as the first essay unless you take a very different approach.) Your essay must have a thesis, but the approach you take and the context you choose is up to you. You could consider one of the literary texts in relation to another and examine, for instance, their representation of a similar theme, or look at a literary text in relation to a work of visual art. You might consider the historical, social, religious, philosophical, or global context of one of the works, discussing it in relation to, for instance, one of the text you read in Social Foundations. You could also look at the later reception of a work or its contemporary influence.
You may bring in outside sources if you wish, but you are not required to do so. If you do use outside sources, you must cite them.
The essay should be 5-6 pages long (1500 words) in a reasonable font (i.e. Times New Roman, 11 or 12pt.), with reasonable margins (i.e. 1-1.25 inches).
Context should be thought of broadly.
