Analysis-Spirited-Away-2-pages-

The fairy tales as well as the film Spirited Away draw our attention to the appetites of the flesh or carnal appetites and destructive consumption that goes beyond the appetites we tend to associate with the consumption of food. Select two scenes from Spirited Away in which the conflict between these different appetites is of particular significance and examine the scenes in detail. These questions may help you to focus your analysis:

  • Which foods become symbolic in the scenes? What might they represent? With which characters are they associated?
  • What do these two scenes add to our understanding about the way we conceive the process of growing up and the way we interact with one another as well as the world in which we live?

Explain your reasoning and provide textual support to fully develop your reading.

This journal entry should be a minimum of 2 pages (4 paragraphs) and a maximum of 4 pages (8 paragraphs) double-spaced.

Pre-Test – Case: Forming GameRush, Inc.

This is a take-home assignment. You are to answer the questions in the way(s) that you believe are the most thorough, most descriptive, and most analytical.

Assume that you are the person identified as “you” in the problem provided to you. You have an Accounting degree from Troy University and you are a CPA. As stated in the problem, you are married and you have two children who are in a very expensive private school. Your spouse has just lost his/her job. Answer the questions set out at the end of the problem.

You are to compose a short paper that addresses all questions asked. As we are also evaluating your writing, your answers must be in an essay format, rather than using outlines or bullet points. You are to submit your answers in narrative form. Keep in mind that communication has multiple dimensions to it. Communicating substantive information is only one dimension. How well you communicate it and the grasp of the English language that you display in your communications will all have a bearing on how the individual grading your submission will evaluate it.

Cultural analysis, management homework help

Select a country and a product (good or service) with the goal of analyzing the potential for product success if that product is to be introduced into the selected country. You will be using the same product and country throughout these assignments. The first step in the project is to analyze the culture of the country into which the product may be introduced. The Geert-Hofstede link will be very important in this analysis. Some of the following questions may be important in understanding the culture:

  • How do people in the country view relationships among community and family?
  • Are there regional loyalties in the country?
  • How do people feel about change and risk taking?
  • Are there religious issues that need to be considered?
  • How welcoming are people to outsiders?
  • Is the culture male- or female- dominated?

Here is what you need to do for the assignment:

  1. Compile information about that country from the Geert-Hofstede and the Culture Crossing links below to compile a concise snapshot of core elements of the country’s culture. For the purpose of this paper use a concise tool like Geert-Hofstede to offer a quick overview of the core cultural aspects of the country and add details from the Culture Crossing link.
  2. Use the country comparison tool of Geert-Hofstede to assess how you would need to engage differently with that culture
  3. Do a high level analysis of the applicability of the product you are thinking about to the country chosen. For example the Big Mac will not be well received in India if it is made with beef.
  4. Begin the exploration for the product you will sell in this country. Find a product from Concordia’s online library look at IBIS world’s list of products and companies and choose one as you will find adequate data for the course on that site. At this stage you do not need all the details just the core product but you are investing some time to lock into a product for Week 6 more detailed analysis.
