For this assignment, you will create a communication strategy that fosters change and innovation in an organization. Explain the context in which it occurs and the options that are available. Develop a solution that will solve the organizational issue and meet the needs of the people involved.

Feel free to use the same organization you researched for the Unit VI and Unit VII Assignments. You are not limited to this organization, but it may be easier to complete the assignment since you have already researched it for Unit VI and/or Unit VII. You can use the same sources for all assignments, if applicable.

In the report, you will provide a potential audience analysis, create a purposeful message, and discuss a type of channel that you could use for feedback. Include answers to Neal’s (2010) communication questions, which are listed below:

1. What am I trying to achieve?
2. How will my audience react to what I am trying to achieve?
3. Will my message be resisted?
4. What do I know about my audience that will help me tailor my message? (p. 40)

Do not include the question/answers in a bullet or list format. Instead, integrate the responses in your paragraphs.

Use the standard five-paragraph format (introduction/body/conclusion). Include at least two academic sources. APA format should be used. The assignment should be a minimum of two pages in length. Content, organization, and grammar/mechanics will be evaluated.

Develop an original graph, chart, or table that illustrates a point you made in each file attached. If you need to look for new research to use in your graph, chart, or table, this is fine. Otherwise, feel free to create an original graph, chart, or table illustrating knowledge you have already presented. Tables, pie charts, bar graphs, and line graphs are all acceptable options. Your graph, chart, or table must be original, which means you have created it yourself.

Key Elements to Remember

In APA formatting, you will reference the graph where appropriate within the body of the essay. For instance, when discussing the information in the graph, chart, or table, you would write: (See graph in Figure 1.). Then the actual table or graph would be inserted on the last page of the essay after your References page.

When labeling your graph, chart, or table, label it as a Figure (for charts and graphs) or as a Table (for tables). Include a title for your graph, chart, or table. For tables, the label of Table 1 should be used and italicized and the title also should be italicized with each major word capitalized. For charts and graphs, the word Figure 1 should be italicized, but the title should not be italicized. All major words in the title should be capitalized. Click here to view examples.

Reference information should be noted. See examples below. All appropriate information in a graph or a chart should be identified in a legend.

Search engines help businesses gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. However, data presented in Chapter 6 of the course textbook provides “food for thought” regarding the utilization of such technology. Google’s ® data centers, with “over 1 million” servers worldwide, are described as having “used 38,000 megawatts of electricity in 2012” (Turban, Volonino, & Wood, 2015, p.190). The amount of electricity utilized by data centers worldwide continues to grow at a fast rate, and the environmental impact is a growing concern (Turban et al., 2015, p.190).

Question:

Regarding the tremendous growth of data centers and their footprint on the earth’s environment, provide support for or argue against their increased deployment by enterprises.

Remember, one goal in the Discussion assignments is to create an atmosphere of interaction by posting meaningful responses that advance and expand the depth of the discussion. Do this by providing additional support to your peers’ initial and response posts, or if appropriate, by challenging them if you feel that the data that they presented is weak. Likewise, when a peer challenges the data in your posts, debate the issue, and providing further support for your points of view on the topic.

Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas:

Dispute settlement is the focus of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the way that the organization keeps the global economy stable.

• What is the WTO, and what is its history?
• What are the benefits of being a member of the WTO?
• What are the disadvantages?
• How does it settle disputes?

Choose a recent dispute between 2 countries, and discuss it with your peers. Include the following:

• Summary of what happened
• How it was resolved
• Role played by the WTO
• Do you agree with the resolution?

Develop a 2 – 3-page APA style paper, not including the title or references pages, that includes the following:

• How do you use critical thinking in decision making and problem solving in your professional life?
• What are the three most important elements of personal and professional etiquette that you employ in your professional life?
• What are your strengths in communication in your professional life? What are your weaknesses?
• What strategies do you employ to stay on-task and on-time in your professional life? How do you manage your professional goals?
• Be sure to use a minimum of 3 supporting references with at least 1 or 2 of those being peer reviewed. These articles could relate to goal setting, professional goals, professional etiquette, decision making, or any other relevant aspect of career development.
