The next five assignments allow you to: invent an entrepreneurial company and research it; develop financial pro forma; do an executive summary and elevator speech; and, as the capstone of the project, develop an exciting presentation for investors.This assignment is your project proposal. You will propose the company to be formed, provide preliminary information about it, and discuss how you will research its viability and strategy.

Write a paper on the new enterprise that addresses at least the following seven sections:

• Company & Product
• Description
• Industry
• Customer
• Competitor Analysis
• Marketing Plan Research
• Primary and Secondary Research

Make sure paper body starts with a summary where there is a statement of thesis (overview of the points to be made), continues with a discussion (or specific answers to specific questions), and ends with a conclusion. The seven specific sections should be annotated and have specific answers.

All papers should be written in the third person (he, he, it, and they). Make every effort not to shift to second person (you, your) as in, “When starting a company you need money.” Try to avoid shifting to the first person (I, we) as well. It is distracting to the reader and bad style to shift persons in a paper—students often do it in the middle of a sentence.

The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:

• Write between 750 – 1,250 words (approximately 3 – 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
• Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
• Include cover page and reference page.
• At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
• No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
• Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
• Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

Write 500–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

The third of the primary principles of finance is known as valuation. This principle brings together the two other principles that were studied earlier: the time value of money and risk and return.

In your initial post, identify and recommend at least 1 credible Web site that an investor can visit to find the current market value of stocks and bonds being traded, and address at least 3 of the following:

• What is the concept of valuation, and how does it incorporate the time value of money and the risk of return principles?
• What is the bond, and what are the variables that are required to calculate the current market were present value of a bond?
• What are the 2 cash flows that are generally associated with bonds, and why is the present value of these cash flows less than the future value of these cash flows?
• Discuss the conditions where a bond would trade at par, a discount, and at a premium.
• Describe the various methods of estimating the value of common stock and their weaknesses.
• Discuss the primary differences between preferred and common stock?

Read Romeo and Juliet and watch one of the following adaptations: Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), Chicken Rice War (2000), Romeo Must Die (2000), Romeo + Juliet (1996), Romeo and Juliet(1968), Romeo and Juliet (1966), West Side Story (1961), Romeo and Juliet (1954), Romeo and Juliet (1936).

Now, for the play/film pair that you chose, address all parts of this question.

1. Clearly identify two scenes from the written play that also appear in the film (however loosely) that you think are significant to the overall story, and explain why.
2. Offer an assessment of how well you think the film portrayed the two scenes. In other words, was the film’s portrayal of these two scenes effective or ineffective? Why?
3. Use at least two of the terms and concepts from the Learning Resources for the module explain why the scenes portrayed in the film were effective or ineffective. For example, perhaps the film used specific music and lighting in a scene to effectively emphasize the tension of the scene. Underline or bold the vocabulary, concept or technique you use as an interpretative tool in your post.
4. Finally, give your overall opinion about how the themes of this play translate to our contemporary world and why you think this play has had so many film adaptations.

***Project Overview: You will embark in the development of a global expansion plan using a company product either real or made up. This company product will become the focus for the course project. The goal is to develop a plan for expansion for this product to a selected country or region.

*** Requirements:The format for this project will be a presentation being delivered to a board of directors or upper management team for expansion approval. Each project assignment should be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint format. Your assignments should be set up with your slides as if you were giving a presentation and utilizing the speaker’s note section for your content. Your presentation should be proofread for spelling and grammar. Your presentation slides should be concise.

Expanding operations requires research and planning; this is especially true when dealing with crossing borders to other regions and countries. During this first project assignment, the focus is to conduct background research on your chosen company, the country, or region of expansion, and the product itself.

Create a 5-7 slide presentation using the speaker’s notes section for your content and the slides for presentation purposes. Include the following information:

1. Present a brief overview of the company (real or fictional)
2. Provide a brief description of the product to include its features, benefits, and limitations
3. Conduct an environmental analysis of the country desired for expansion

Your presentation should be proofread for spelling and grammar. Your presentation slides should be concise.

Create a 12- to 15-slide comprehensive presentation of your equal rights proposition using Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® and the Week 3 outline with feedback applied and speaker notesfor each slide. Include title slide and reference slide(s) not included in total slide count. Graphics encouraged.

Speaker notes should include APA formatted references. Speaker note slides should not exceed length of slide. Team members should complete slides based on the sections chosen in Week 3. If a team member is no longer in the class, the team leader or another team member is responsible for completing the slides for the missing team member.

Include the following (most information will be from the Week 3 outline with introduction slide and conclusion slide)

• The issues, challenges, and opportunities experienced by this ethnic or social group in the labor force
• How society has constructed this ethnic or social group’s identity
• The legal framework relating to this issue
• Summary of existing or proposed solutions of differing groups. Consider the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, corporate human resource departments, political strategies, government agencies, religious groups, and grass roots organizations for possible solutions.
• Whether or not this issue exists in other countries, and if so, how it is handled by differing groups internationally.
• A summary of your team’s compromise or alternatives to existing solutions. This should be one comprehensive statement from the team summarizing what was stated in Week 3.

Present your proposal in Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® with speaker notes. Slide design, layout and graphics should support content of presentation. (See Student Resources for Microsoft^®PowerPoint^® help).

Include at least five academic references in your research.
