. The nation (indeed the world) is on the cusp of tremendous changes. The Great Society is just beginning to be built, the British have invaded American music and culture, the Space Race is on, and things are definitely heating up around the other side of the globe in a small country called Vietnam.

Imagine yourself in the Arizonan desert in 1964. It’s hot and dusty, and there is no one around for at least 100 miles. Although it’s no longer the “Wild West,” Arizona is also fairly isolated compared to more populous areas of the United States. You are tired from the long trip.

To overcome the isolation and recover from road-induced fatigue, all of you need to work together in order to identify the person, place or thing of which I am thinking. You may contact each other as often as you would like, but collectively, you may ask me only 20 questions before you must identify that about which I am thinking. I will answer each of your 20 questions with one word answers (e.g., yes, no, irrelevant, probably, doubtful, sometimes, usually, rarely, or unknown). Applying the four stages of frame work into health care

Pick a theorist and explore how the theorist created his or her theory and apply the four stages of (theorizing, syntax, theory testing, and evaluation).

Stage 1 Theorizing consist of three concepts identifying what nursing is and what nursing is not.

Stage 2 Syntax must contain at least two terms clearly defining what this stage consist of

Stage 3 theory testing you must describe and provide two examples of how theory was applied to quantitative/ qualitative research consisting of different population and widening goup of researchers outside the discipline of nursing.

Stage 4 provide at least five examples of how theory is applied through evidence base practice in the act of providing nursing care.

Lastly, present a broad look at the four stages you went through to develop your theory and project its future use in the nursing profession , be sure to make a succinct and precise conclusion.

This week let’s look at the stakeholders and the role they play in establishing the organizations goals. Stakeholders are anyone involved with the company. They can be shareholders, employees, customers, partners and even suppliers. Who are the stakeholders in your workplace or in a company with which you are familiar? What are their wants and needs? How does management meet their needs? What difficulties arise in balancing the needs of various stakeholders?

Learn: Discussion Question 2

I wanted to discuss the concepts of mission and vision statements. In many organizations, they are not accurately written to reflect the goal that you are trying to reach or the audience that is reading it. Often the people that write the mission statement themselves are not committed in the statement they wrote. If you are trying to change people, motivate people and create creativity, you must believe in the change yourself. Assuming you are already at that stage, think of change management as a way to change your folks into believing in your change. You must introduce them to the concept and educate them as to why we need it. Then you try to get them accustomed to the change be reinforcing the new environment. Giving people kudos for baby steps, etc. and finally you get them to accept the change.

Thoughts?

I wanted to add that a SWOT analysis can be used at any time by an organization. As an example, a change in manufacturing process might require the organization to change vendors for supplies. In this case, you may want to perform SWOT analysis on the competing vendors to determine how different they are, and which one is more stable; so that you can make the most educated and informed decision.

So, any action by the organization may trigger a need for a SWOT analysis. If the company is considering entering a new market, expanding operations or creating a new product; they should do a SWOT analysis first.
