As you discovered through the readings this week, there are no simple answers to questions about the characteristics of high-quality early childhood professionals, or how to evaluate such quality. Additionally, there is a clear tension between ever-expanding expectations placed on early childhood professionals, the varied approaches to professional development, and the challenging realities of early childhood work environments. In light of these issues, as well as the others you have been studying in this course, it is worth your time and thought to pause and ask yourself: What does it mean to be an early childhood professional?

In Week 2 of the Foundations course, you formulated three professional goals that reflected your aspirations and professional expectations. Then, at the end of the course you revised your three goals in light of all you had learned. You have come a long way since then, and the content of this week provides the context appropriate to visiting your professional goals once again.

• Review all readings for this week and think about what you have learned in this course.
• Take time to think about the other courses you have taken in your Masters program—Early Childhood Development and Effective Programs and Practices—and what you have learned about the field and yourself as an early childhood professional. Consider your professional aspirations and passion that has been tapped by your studies.
• Review the three professional goals you developed in the Foundations course.
• Modify, change, expand, and/or rewrite your original goals, and/or add additional goals to reflect your current thinking.

These are my original goals.

A partnership among families and staff is very important if there is any significant consideration to develop an effective and complete learning process where the result can effectively reflect the input. It is important to understand that in promoting better and positive values among children and families, it results into positive considerations, which promote the well-being of children as well as the ability of children to achieve a significant level of success as they advance to further stages in their development. Many parents have failed to be part of their children daily development due to different engagement where they usually insist that they are busy while leaving the teaching staff the overall responsibility of ensuring that their children are better engaged. However, it is also important to realize that these teachers do not deal with one or two children but many, which makes one on one monitoring of children development very difficult to comprehend and achieve as well.

The teaching staff is also mandated to follow the outlined curriculum regardless of the development of children since they are assessed by focusing on the results where the processes involved do not seem to matter even though they are equally important. Building relationships and collaborating with families ensure that children are effectively monitored and thus develop following all the significant childhood development stages. Another significant role that is played by the collaborating with families is that families become part of the day-to-day development of a child, which enhances the overall growth of a child and thus plays a crucial role in minimizing the challenges that are involved in striving to achieve the pre-outlined curriculum. The role of parents, in this case, is key and thus it is important to ensure that families form a crucial role in their children development to ensure that they develop with high morals, which in turn promotes society development.

Building relationship and family collaborating are two of the most important consideration that should be made by staff in their efforts to ensure that they accomplish the set target. However, limited level of family gathering, relationship building and the need to accomplish the tasks within the curriculum usually overwhelm the teaching staff, which means that it is very difficult to accomplish all the tasks. In most cases, they achieve success as per the curriculum, but the children do not develop and the proper and required levels of better and positive engagement.

As the marketing manager of a large, national, and geographically dispersed organic food store chain, you are to create a
marketing PowerPoint presentation that identifies the strategic decisions you must make in the areas of price and
promotion. In this presentation, you will research and provide pricing examples that compare and contrast various factors
that influence promotional strategies for each of the five pricing strategies: premium pricing, penetration pricing, economy
pricing, psychological pricing, and promotional pricing.

Recently, the top management team in HSBC Australia has been worried about the impact that all the changes in the modern business world have brought, and wants to tackle many of the issues and challenges as a result of these changes by drafting a talent management plan for the next 10 years. This plan will help HSBC Australia manage its human resources and stay competitive in the banking industry.

Imagine that you work for a consulting company which is specialised in human resource management. HSBC Australia has hired your company to draft the talent management plan for them. You are assigned to work with HSBC on this task.

Please draft a Talent Management Plan for HSBC Australia, drawing on:
