Hughes, A. H., Goldman, T. F., Nemeth, C. P. (03/2013). Real Estate Law Fundamentals, 1st Edition

Prepare a 750- to 1,050-word proposal addressing the following

Resource: Criminology in the 21st Century: Classical School of Thought in Criminology.

Imagine the following scenario:

Consider policy making as it relates to criminal offenses. What recommendations would you make? What are the reasons for your recommendations? Is this a good bill or a bad bill? Is this bill effective?

Prepare a 750- to 1,050-word proposal addressing the following:

  • Objectives of the bill
  • Goals of the bill
  • Possible solutions for the bill
  • Justification for why the bill should be approved or not

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Effects of News Media Assignment, writing homework help

Review the Week 4 readings and videos.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word essay in which you discuss how the information and news media have affected American culture.

Answer the following questions:

  • Does the information media have social responsibility? If yes, in what ways? If not, why not?
  • What is the role of the information and news media in the shaping of political opinions?
  • How have electronic media and their convergence transformed journalism and news consumption?

Illustrate your responses with specific examples.

Format consistent with APA formatting guidelines. Include a Title page on all essays.

Review the week 4 essay Rubric in the Student Materials for this assignment.

Compose your essay so you present the information in the same order it is given in the directions.

Use Headings (See the APA Sample Paper posted in wk 1). Here are my suggested headings (in bold type):

Effects of News Media [title of essay]

Introduction (tell the reader what the paper is about). Do not use a heading of “Introduction,” the title of the paper replaces that heading.

After the Introduction your first heading should be:

Information Media and Social Responsibility

Answer the questions listed for the first section of the essay:

Does the information media have social responsibility? If yes, in what ways? If not, why not?

Provide examples.

[Base the rest of your headings on the two remaining elements in the directions]

This time, I want you to compose your own headings based on each of the individual sections in the directions for the essay. Then, present your material for each of those sections under the headings they apply to. So, next make a heading for the next section:

What is the role of the information and news media in the shaping of political opinions? (Change this into a heading do not just post the question)

And then present your material that explains in what way information and news media do or do not have social responsibility.

Follow the same method for the remaining section of the essay directions.

How have electronic media and their convergence transformed journalism and news consumption? (Change this into a heading do not just post the question)

Keep the sections separate and address them in the same order given in the directions. This will maintain good organization for your essay.

Conclusion

Always include a formal conclusion on all your APA papers (Yes, even if the directions do not mention it). The Conclusion reflects on why the information you presented in your paper is important. In this case, it summarizes thoughts on whether the entertainment media are a reflection of or a catalyst for societal behaviors and attitudes. Review important points appropriate to the conclusion (see rubric below).

Notes:

  • APA essays are formal compositions. Avoid informal language. Do not write as if this is an informal book report for class. Avoid writing phrases like, “our text says” or “I think.” Try to write in the style of a journal article as if the reader is not in our class. Use APA citations in place of “our text says.” Base your essay on our readings and not your opinion.
  • Include a title page and reference page. You should have at least one reference – our textbook! I have supplied a sample title page, first page, and reference page (Title Page Template – posted in week 1) that you can use as a template if you need to. Do not include an abstract.
  • Word count is based on the length from the title on the first page of the text of the essay to the end of the conclusion. The cover page and reference page do not count toward the total word count requirement.

Be substantive. Provide details, descriptions, explanations, examples and quotations. Cite and reference any sources used according to APA style.

Be sure to refer to our text readings! READ the text first, then write your essay – some material for this essay comes from our readings.

Relationship Analysis Preview

Each student will choose an interpersonal relationship to focus on during the session. The person chosen should be someone the student interacts with on a regular basis. Choosing a relationship that needs work is especially helpful. During the session, as communication concepts are studied, the student may choose to discuss and/or try out their skills with the person they have chosen. At the end of the session the student will write a 6-page paper analyzing the relationship. Using the communication concepts in the text, lectures, exercises, notes, and additional outside reading (at least one book of your choice/with approval), students will explain what they feel would be the best course of action to improve the relationship. More complete guidelines for the paper will be given later in the semester. This assignment asks you to choose the person you will focus on and provide more information about that relationship. Please use the word document attached

Introduction

The management role approach says that there are general and certain roles that all managers perform. The four general management skills researchers say are necessary to successfully manage others are:

  • Conceptual: Analyzing and diagnosing complex problems
  • Interpersonal: Working well with others
  • Technical: Job-specific knowledge and expertise
  • Political: Political adeptness

Discussion Question

Rank the four critical management skills that are important for a successful manager, 1 being the most important and 5 being the least important:

  • Conceptual
  • Interpersonal
  • Technical
  • Political

Explain how you determined the rankings. Support your assertions with your own experiences and current understanding of management practices.

In your responses to your instructor and peers, elaborate on the topics, share additional experiences, ideas, or research, and ask additional questions to keep the conversation moving. This is a graded discussion. Post your initial response and two peer responses by their respective due dates.

Length: 2-3 pages

Times New Roman, 12pt font, 1″ margins, double spaced

50 points possible

As we study gender roles and social change, it is important to understand the agencies and organizations that work to either maintain the status quo or work to facilitate social change. To investigate these entities and the issues with which they work, I want you to select an issue and find an organization on each side of the debate. The instructions that follow will provide you with a framework with which to present the issue and its many sides.

Pick one of the following topics or suggest a topic of your own. If a topic you are particularly interested in is not on this list come see me! As long as there is a gendered aspect to the topic you can use it with prior approval.

  • Mail order brides
  • Same-sex marriage
  • Divorce
  • Bigamy and polygamy
  • Cohabitation
  • Parenting
  • Fathers’ Rights
  • Housework
  • Other

Instructions

  1. Find two websites (organizations) that have conflicted viewpoints (opposites sides) from each other on your issue. Answer the following questions for EACH organization:
  1. What is its name? Who founded it? When and why did they start the organization?
  2. What does the organization do? How is it funded? How many members do they have?
  3. Who is most likely to be a member? Who is least likely?
  1. Address the following gender issues:
  1. What are the key issues of each side? What are their arguments for their side?
  2. What legislation has passed or failed to pass which relates to this issue?
  3. How is gender a key concern in this debate?
  4. Which sociological perspective would best fit each side of the debate? Why?
  1. Your paper should have an introduction, a conclusion and three sections with bold headings. The first two bold headings should be the names of the organizations and the third one should be called Gender Issues.
  2. At the end of your paper, you should cite the web address of the sites you used.
  3. Remember to keep your paper focused on how your issue is specifically related to gender roles, norms and inequality.

Here are some tips from last semester that can help with your internet papers.

  1. Do not leave out sections of the paper that were included in the directions:

  4. See the example posted for more.

  1. Your assignments are submitted through safe assign so you can check for plagiarism. When I open your safe assign report and there are multiple areas flagged that are directly taken from another source without a single change or quotation mark that is considered plagiarism. I will take 50% off of your grade for plagiarism. I strongly suggest reviewing the multiple resources I have added to this course under the course resources tab in Blackboard if you are confused about this.

Because I am offering a reminder about these things, you will not be able to correct your papers after the due date.

250 words,, my topic is capital punishment

Reflect on your preparations for your Final Capstone Project. Detail
at least one area of your research that either made you change a
pre-existing position you held on a major criminal or social justice
issue, or share something that surprised you in the course of your
research. Explain why your viewpoints have changed and how you expect
to use this new perspective in your career going forward.

To help guide your reflection, consider how your perspective has
changed on the following topics: the effectiveness of the criminal
justice system, your understanding of criminal theory, landmark
federal court decisions, criminal justice issues, anti-terrorism laws,
creation of a socially just society, and potential career
opportunities.
