6-page research paper on a mental disorder of your choice and discuss the role of culture

As we have discussed throughout this course, culture plays a large role in how we define and treat mental disorders. Write a 6-page research paper on a mental disorder of your choice and discuss the role that culture plays in the prevalence, diagnosis, understanding (etiology), and/or treatment of that disorder. “Culture” can include gender, race/ethnicity, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status, and/or disability status. Topics must be clearly defined. A minimum of 5 scholarly references must be included, and none of them may be online references (except for journal articles retrieved online). Papers should include a cover sheet and reference list; this is in addition to the 6 pages of content.

Discussion: Qualitative Designs for DBA Research, business and finance homework help

Discussion: Qualitative Designs for DBA Research

During the first course of this program, you considered your “why” for beginning your doctoral program and began exploring what it means to be an independent scholar who conducts research in the field of business. As you continue to plan for your Doctoral Study, keep in mind that one of your objectives should be to think and function in an action-oriented manner, so business owners and leaders can apply your research findings in practice. Consider what it means to conduct research that will effect change in everyday business practice.

As a doctoral independent scholar, you are undoubtedly concerned with the time and cost associated with conducting your research. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the variances between the case study and phenomenological research designs is valuable to your decision of selecting an appropriate research design, taking into consideration time, cost, and appropriateness to your applied research question.

To prepare for this Discussion, review this week’s Required Readings and consider the similarities and differences between case study and phenomenological research designs. Be sure to focus on the benefits of case study design in terms of time and cost within the context of DBA doctoral research.

By Day 3

Post an assessment of case study design versus phenomenological research design for doctoral research. Your assessment should include the following:

  • Compare and contrast case study and phenomenological research designs, including commitments of time and cost for each design.
  • Explain the benefits of using a case study for DBA doctoral research, including an example from scholarly research that supports your assertion.

Be sure to support your work with a minimum of two specific citations from this week’s Learning Resources and one or more additional scholarly sources.

Assistance with writing Human Resources assignment

Using the organization that your instructor preapproved, diagnose the organization’s level of resistance and construct a solid communication plan. Use a tablet, smartphone, laptop, desktop, or traditional video recorder to record a maximum of a five to seven (5-7) minute dynamic video on the topics detailed below. Alternatively, you may submit a four to six (4-6) page paper instead of the video submission.

Note: If you are using a tablet or smartphone you will need to email the video file to yourself, then save it to a computer in order to upload to Blackboard. You may want to upload your video to a file sharing service, such as Dropbox, if your email will not let you send a large video file. Dropbox is accessible from all smartphones and tablets from the Dropbox app.

Once you are ready to upload your video to Blackboard, click here to view the “Student Video Assignment Submission” video tutorial in the “Creating a Presentation for Your Course” playlist.

Please use the following naming convention in the popup window for your video once it is finished uploading:

RE” SOCW6301 Discussion 2 (WK2) Response to 1 Student

Respond to a colleague’s post in one of the following ways:

  1. Expand upon your colleague’s post regarding ways that the IRB’s ethical guidelines may impact his or her study.
  2. Explain an insight you gained from this week’s Resources that addresses a topic in your colleague’s post.

Christie Response to Question

A description of two ways the guidelines in Walden University’s IRB document may impact the selection of a research population, research setting, and/or research design.

Walden University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) can impact many of the variables within a research study. The IRB guidelines were established to protect human research participants (Yegidis, Weinback, & Myers, 2012). This procedure ensures that researchers/student are not exploiting vulnerable populations or are failing to consider cultural diversity within the participant pool. Walden’s IRB uncovers unforeseen conflicts of interest and is a safety measure so that the study benefits outweigh risks. This could mean that research does not take place in prisons, or evaluating peers. Also, the university’s IRB could affect research design. For example, including how data is gathered which informs the board ensuring confidentially will not be breached and beneficence is in place (Walden University, n.d.). For instance, all instruments, interactions, interventions must be known so that any inadvertent ethical issues can be reviewed and avoided. Walden’s systematic investigation will not accept any responsibility for student research without going through the IRB process. Another positive aspect of the IRB is its ability to detect harm not only to the participant but also the researcher (Yegidis, et al., 2012). Also, the university’s IRB allows for “exempt status” of research with no potential for human risk which opens up a vast opportunity for examining gaps in instructional education improvement (Walden University, n.d.). Walden is diligent in its reviews and stays in a continual learning modality for new ways of improving the process.

Visit the website of three global advertising agencies. Link to some of these top ad agencies is here: http://www.top50adagencies.com/ . View some of their creative work. I have given you a resource for international ads, but you may need to check other sources.

Find an ad for a product sold in the US that has been developed for another country for a branded product (one with which you are familiar). State the name of the agency and include the link to that specific ad in your post, NOT a link to the company website or ad campaign, but the specific ad. State the NAME of the ad (all ads have names).

Describe the ad and discuss several ways in which you think it and/or its promotional message was adapted to that country’s culture. You MUST be specific when you discuss cultural adaptation. For example, US culture emphasizes independence and individualism, Americans are informal and believe in freedom of choice. Another example would be that in the US the color white is associated with purity and brides whereas in some countries white symbolizes death. Don’t confuse the creativity of an ad as being an adaptation to culture.

Discuss whether you think that advertisement would work well here in the United States and why or why not.

Personal Food and Activity Diary

Assignment #1: Personal Food & Activity Diary

Before you can take care of another person’s nutritional needs, you need to know your own eating patterns and dietary habits. One way to become aware of what and how much you eat is to log what you normally eat. For this assignment, complete a personal 3-day food diary using the My Fitness Pal website and/or app (www.myfitnesspal.com). At least one of these days must be a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Also include any exercise you do during these 3 days in your online log. Submit your log to me using one of the methods outlined above.

I did them and I will upload the Schedules for 3 day .

After you have finished logging your food and activity level, reflect upon the experience and answer the questions in the template for this assignment. Points will be awarded for how well you complete your diaries and answer the reflection questions – I will not be grading you on how healthy you eat, so please be honest when completing your diary. The more honest you are, the more helpful this assignment will be for you.

There are the 3 questions:

  • What is your overall analysis of your food intake and activity level? Are you making healthy food and/or activity choices? Are there areas for improvement?
  • Describe the overall balance of your diet. Do you eat or drink anything in excess or is there anything particularly missing from your diet?
  • Provide at least 3 concrete suggestions or goals that will help you improve your diet and/or activity choices. Include rationale that explains why you should consider making these changes and a plan you will implement to make these changes.

I want answer these questions in one paragraph for each questions
