In this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that outlines what you believe will be the biggest challenges facing organizations in the next twenty (20) years.

Faculty Note: For students taking this course online, if there is a hardship for any student in being able to secure a microphone to complete this assignment, the student is allowed to use the notes section of PowerPoint to write a narrative of what they would say if actually presenting / narrating.

Write an eight (8) slide presentation in which you:

  1. Provide a title slide (as indicated in the format requirements below) followed by a slide with an introduction to your presentation.
  2. Presentation should include your choice of the five (5) challenges you believe organizations will face in the next twenty (20) years. Only include one (1) challenge and your explanation for choosing that challenge per slide for a total of five (5) slides.

A description of two ways the guidelines in Walden University’s IRB document may impact the selection of a research population, research setting, and/or research design.

Walden University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) can impact many of the variables within a research study. The IRB guidelines were established to protect human research participants (Yegidis, Weinback, & Myers, 2012). This procedure ensures that researchers/student are not exploiting vulnerable populations or are failing to consider cultural diversity within the participant pool. Walden’s IRB uncovers unforeseen conflicts of interest and is a safety measure so that the study benefits outweigh risks. This could mean that research does not take place in prisons, or evaluating peers. Also, the university’s IRB could affect research design. For example, including how data is gathered which informs the board ensuring confidentially will not be breached and beneficence is in place (Walden University, n.d.). For instance, all instruments, interactions, interventions must be known so that any inadvertent ethical issues can be reviewed and avoided. Walden’s systematic investigation will not accept any responsibility for student research without going through the IRB process. Another positive aspect of the IRB is its ability to detect harm not only to the participant but also the researcher (Yegidis, et al., 2012). Also, the university’s IRB allows for “exempt status” of research with no potential for human risk which opens up a vast opportunity for examining gaps in instructional education improvement (Walden University, n.d.). Walden is diligent in its reviews and stays in a continual learning modality for new ways of improving the process.

Find an ad for a product sold in the US that has been developed for another country for a branded product (one with which you are familiar). State the name of the agency and include the link to that specific ad in your post, NOT a link to the company website or ad campaign, but the specific ad. State the NAME of the ad (all ads have names).

Describe the ad and discuss several ways in which you think it and/or its promotional message was adapted to that country’s culture. You MUST be specific when you discuss cultural adaptation. For example, US culture emphasizes independence and individualism, Americans are informal and believe in freedom of choice. Another example would be that in the US the color white is associated with purity and brides whereas in some countries white symbolizes death. Don’t confuse the creativity of an ad as being an adaptation to culture.

Assignment #1: Personal Food & Activity Diary

Before you can take care of another person’s nutritional needs, you need to know your own eating patterns and dietary habits. One way to become aware of what and how much you eat is to log what you normally eat. For this assignment, complete a personal 3-day food diary using the My Fitness Pal website and/or app (www.myfitnesspal.com). At least one of these days must be a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Also include any exercise you do during these 3 days in your online log. Submit your log to me using one of the methods outlined above.

After you have finished logging your food and activity level, reflect upon the experience and answer the questions in the template for this assignment.
