For this assignment, you will add to the case study you created in Topic 1 as you explore the family and the family dynamics more in depth. Imagine the family attended a session in which the therapist orients the family to treatment. Document the session in a 500-750-word addition to the original case study.

In the case study addition, documenting the session, be sure to include the following:

The family’s narrative explaining how they believe the problem started

The impact of addiction on each family member and what they would like to be different

Therapist’s explanation of addiction as a family problem in addition to a general method of treatment

Recommendations for community supports from a case management perspective as shared by the therapist in the session

Optional: Some dialogue between the family and the therapist can be included in the session documentation but it is not required.

Assignment Description

Throughout the class, you have examined research methods, from probability sampling to survey research. You have assessed the challenges associated with research design, ethical research practices, data collection methods, and analyzing content and reporting research results. You have also evaluated the validity of research measures and reputability of resources available for criminal justice research.

Prepare a 5–7 page paper (1–1.5 pages per competency for competencies 1–5), focused on the course competencies and address two key areas of learning for each competency. This paper should showcase your learning proficiency and describe the importance of your learning relative to application in a career context.

Case Assignment

Address the following in a 3- to 4-page essay demonstrating your critical-thinking skills. It should be written for an audience of business owners. As an ethics expert working for a national ethics association, you have been asked to address the following:

• Evaluate what Wells Fargo has done to repair the damage to their reputation. What should they still do?
• Should top leaders be responsible for the behaviors of its customer-facing employees? Why or why not.
• In your judgment, why is this Wells Fargo situation an “ethical dilemma”? Bring in a philosophy (or philosophies) that you have learned about in this Module.

This assignment should include third-person voice, in-text citations, and a reference list. It should be evident that you followed some of the basics of APA formatting. Write a well-integrated paper with a strong introduction and conclusion, and use a few section headings (e.g., do not simply follow a Q & A format).

Bring in subject matter expert viewpoints (authors or speakers) to validate and support your writing.
