Project Management — Project Charter

Please use the project from Assignment 1  to complete this assignment, which requires that you provide the necessary scope for your project.

A project scope includes many variables. The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) must be defined prior to the start of the project to ensure that all of the details are planned.

Write an eight to ten (8-10) page project charter in which you:

  1. Define the project including the vision, objectives, and scope of the project.
  2. Determine the customers who will use the deliverables produced from the project.
  3. Specify the key stakeholders for this project.
  4. Determine the role and responsibilities of each project team resource. Include the scheduling duration for each resource.
  5. Graphically depict the project organizational structure. Note: Include a screenshot of the image file to show your work.
  6. Create a WBS using principles of project scheduling and budgeting through the use of Excel spreadsheet, Word table, or other similar project-specific software. Next, develop the cost and time estimates and allocate resources where applicable.
  7. Determine the major project milestones and the required delivery dates. Analyze why each milestone is solely critical to the project.
  8. Document the main dependencies, risks, issues, and assumptions of the project. Select the top three (3) most important risks of the project planning and project management process. Suggest strategies to mitigate those risks.
  9. Summarize the project budget approved by the project sponsor.
  10. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length.

writing39B EUCI Beauty and the Beast reflection

Read “Beauty and the Beast” first.

Choose one of the animal spouse tales as a model and rewrite it from the perspective of the Beast.

You may choose to write in the first person or third person using free indirect discourse—either way, your version of the tale should focus on the Beast’s thoughts, actions and individual voice, making him/her the protagonist of the story.

Consider how the Beast’s point of view might change the tale’s primary message and/or the audience’s response to the tale. Pay particular attention to how tone and word choice shape your portrayal of the Beast.

Feel free to add or invent any details you like, so long as your version of the tale is recognizable as an imitation of the model you’ve chosen—you may not alter your original tale’s plot structure.

At the end of your story, write a quick reflection (at least one full paragraph) that answers all of the questions below:

1. What kinds of details did you choose to characterize the Beast, his/her thoughts and feelings, motivations, point of view, etc.? How do these details contribute to your larger message about the Beast (who he/she is, what he/she represents, etc.)? Why did you include/omit these details?

2. How did you choose to organize the Beast’s thoughts and actions? What does the organization (not just the content, but the order in which the content occurs) say about the Beast’s thoughts, character, etc.?

3. What tone (attitude toward the subject) did you try to create in your story? How does this tone contribute to your overall message or to your larger rhetorical purpose? How did you try to convey this tone to your audience (consider word choice, sentence structure, organization, and your selection/omission of specific details)?

4. Who do you imagine is your intended audience for this retelling? What rhetorical effects on the audience did you try to create–put another way, what kinds of specific emotions and values did you want your reader to experience and/or relate to? Why should your rhetorical strategies (everything you discussed in questions 1-3) be effective?

Case Analysis

eBay is one of the biggest online auctioning companies in the world. Buyers and sellers of all types are able to hop online, put up something for sale, and sell it! Basically, the way it works is that you find something you want to bid on, place a bid on it, and wait to see if your bid wins. If it does, you send your information to the seller, and in return, he or she sends you your goods.

Is an eBay auction a legally-binding contract? In a minimum of 500 words, consider whether a bid placed in an online auction on eBay is legally binding and, therefore, enforceable. Explain your reasoning using the elements of contract analysis that you have learned thus far, including valid offer, valid acceptance, and the various forms of consideration.

1200 words research about what Magical Realism is and 800 words about the Annotated Bibliography

I need to split two documents

Documented Essay: Topic and Expectations

We will all use the same topic, a simple one that is focused on explaining Magical Realism, what it is, where it came from, and some of its practitioners. I suggest that you start with simple research about what Magical Realism is, how it came about, the great authors of Magical Realism, and finally how it manifests itself today, that is to say, in what genres.

As you prepare this essay please beware that you must include and quote three to five outside sources, use the MLA format, and in the process of the paper explain what magical realism is, how it developed, some of the great authors and works, and its international scope today.

We are doing the same topic for a variety of reasons, the first being, I do not want something purchased from a cheating site like Course Hero. When our software reveals that you have done that, you are no longer a member of this class. You will receive an unconditional and final F in the class, no discussion, no appeal.

I made the topic very simple, so if you have never written a documented essay, you will still have no trouble. You can use as few as three sources, as I say above, and we have been working the whole term on the format, except we now will deploy several quotations and certainly a works cited page.

Why don’t you start with the article “What Is Magical Realism, Really,” a very good place to start, and you can certainly use the article as one of your three–or five sources if you use that many.

The Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography is basically the same as any works cited or references page but, and there is one big difference: after each reference, there are a few brief sentences summarizing the contents of the reference listed above it in the bibliography. The bibliography is still a list of sources in alphabetical order, but the difference is the summary of the article, book, or any other source appears immediately below the MLA reference–and this is called the annotation, hence an “annotated” bibliography. If you have any questions, Google annotated bibliography examples and look at one or more. To save time and be working on your documented essay at the same time, there is some logic to using the research items for Magical Realism for this assignment. You will be working on your documented essay as you do so, as well as meeting the requirements for this week’s assignment.

LIT111 Poetry

Write a short essay (750 words) that defends a thesis you developed through a close critical reading/analysis of one (or two) literary works from chapter 22 and supported by at least one secondary source. This essay relies mainly on textual support from the primary text, but includes at least one secondary source that supports/sustains the student’s argument. Do not confuse “critical analysis” with “plot summary”; the goal is to develop, sustain, and advance a thesis based on a critique of the primary text but supported in part by at least one secondary source.

What you’ll be graded upon:

Introduction: You establish a context for the significance of your thesis in regards to the literary work as a whole. How does your argument contribute to understanding the author’s major literary/thematic concerns? What can other readers learn from your analysis? How does your analysis/critique fit in with other critical responses of the author/literary work?

Thesis: You state your main point (or argument) in 1-2 sentences. The thesis is the culmination of your introduction.

Organization. Your essay should follow that of typical literary critiques:

Since your focus must be on analyzing some literary motif, theme, or a combination of literary elements (such as symbolism, character, setting, etc.), your essay must contain well-structured supporting paragraphs that contain a topic sentence, quotes from the primary text, at least one quote from a secondary source, an explanation/discussion of the significance of the quotes you use in relation to your thesis, and a concluding sentence or two that situates the entire paragraph in relation to the thesis. Your thesis will focus on some kind of critical analysis of the primary text, so your supporting paragraphs should contain quotes from the text that illustrate your thesis/argument; in addition, you should include at least one quote from secondary source to support your argument. Your supporting paragraphs should be organized around each of the quotes you use, explaining the significance of the quotes and why (or how) they illustrate your main point, but you also need to make sure that your paragraphs contain strong transitions and at least six (or more) sentences.

Conclusion: Regardless of the argument you make, you want a conclusion that avoids summarizing what you’ve just said, and please avoid writing, “In conclusion.…” Your aim in a conclusion is to place the discussion in a larger context. For example, how might your critical analysis of a literary character relate to the other characters in a work? How might your thesis be applied to other aspects of the text, say for example, setting or symbolism?

Grammar and mechanics: Your paper avoids basic grammar mistakes, such as dropped apostrophes in possessives, subject/verb disagreement, arbitrary tense switches, etc. The paper demonstrates a commitment to proofreading by avoiding easy-to-catch typos and word mistakes (effect for affect, for example). The paper adheres to MLA formatting style for in-text and bibliographic citations.

Presentation: Your paper meets the minimum length criteria of 750 words, is typed with a title and your name on it. You follow your individual professor’s instructions for formatting (margins, placement of the name, etc).

Organizational Problem or Opportunity

The Executive Summary acts as both an introduction to your research paper and a brief overview of its contents. The intent is to leave readers with a preliminary understanding of your research topic, problem statement, research questions, and recommendations for moving forward. Your Executive Summary should include:

  • an outline of the organizational problem or opportunity being investigated.
  • a summary of the background and argument surrounding your issue.
  • an overview of your recommendations for your organization.

Problem Statement:

Most of the organizations are moving to devops concept or agile methodology, should the methodology or the concept be chosen based on the nature of the project or should the organization implement all the projects and programs under the chosen methodology.

Your well-written Executive Summary must be 1-2 pages total in length, in addition to title, table of contents, and reference pages. The paper should be formatted according to the APA requirements. You must cite at least six scholarly references.
