see the question below

Research what a presentence investigation is, what purpose it serves during the sentencing process, and how it is used to inform the sentencing process. Then, address the following in a Word document that is 750–900 words in length:

  • What is a presentence investigation report, and what kind of information does this document typically contain?
  • Why is this information collected, and how does this information relate to an offender’s sentencing?
  • What relationship exists, if any, between the presentence investigation and other aids to sentencing, such as sentencing guidelines and a victim impact statement?
  • Compile your responses to the above questions into your final Word document.
  • The content of the paper must be 750–900 words in length.
  • You must reference at least 3 outside sources, and all sources must be referenced using APA style.

Part 2

Despite your best efforts to guide John McMahon away from drugs and crime, he has incurred a new arrest. Specifically, he was arrested in the 800 block of Greenview Drive in Lynchburg, Virginia after plainclothes officers observed him make what appeared to be a drug transaction. He was cooperative during the arrest, and a search of his person turned up 3.5 grams of a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine. Mr. McMahon was read his rights and transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. During questioning, he admitted that he had purchased the drugs for his own personal use moments before his arrest. In a Word document of 1,000–1,200 words, create a presentence investigation report for Mr. McMahon that includes all of the information that would ordinarily be included in such a document. You may find it useful to create section headers in your document to separate the different elements of the report. Feel free to make up information that is not specifically stated, provided that doing so is not likely to impact the sentencing outcome. You will want to reference and include material taken from the Phase 2 individual projects and the Phase 3 individual project.

For the purposes of this assignment, assume the following:

  • Mr. McMahon’s underlying charge of possession of cocaine (the one he was placed on probation for in the first place) represents his only prior conviction.
  • Mr. McMahon’s parents were married at the time of his birth and remain so to the present day.
  • Mr. McMahon has 2 younger brothers, both of whom still live with his parents.
  • Mr. McMahon is in good overall physical health and has no history of mental health or substance abuse treatment aside from any that was ordered in the context of his current probation case.

Sale management ( Discussion E)

Discussion E

Welcome to the final discussion. In this course you will be introduced to a topic in the discussion. The first week of the module you will write about your initial thoughts after reviewing the resources. The initial post should be at least 300 words.

During the following week you will reply to at least two of your classmates. The replies should be at least 100 words. See the discussion rubric for more details on grading.

Discussions should always be completed prior to “class.” If you are in an online class or an on ground course this is prior to the lesson portion of the week. Are you ready to begin?

1. Review the following:

Jackie Hitchcock, recently promoted to district sales manager, faced a new problem she wasn’t sure how to resolve. The district’s top sales rep is also the district’s number-one problem. Brad Coombs traditionally leads the company in sales but also leads the company in problems. He has broken every rule, bent every policy, deviated from every guideline and has been less than truthful. Jackie knew that Brad has not done anything illegal, but she was worried that something serious could happened. Other problems with Brad include not preparing call reports on time, failing to show up at trade shows, and not attending sales training programs.

2. Initial Post (300 words)
  • How should Jackie handle this problem? Specifically, how can the performance evaluation process help Jackie deal with Brad?

Write an abstract for the article

1. Write an abstract for the article in exactly 250 words, provide a concise,

clear, specific, and accurate summary of the purpose of the research/hypothesis (1-2 sentences),

methods, main results (methods and results are the bulk of the abstract), and the conclusions (1-2

sentences) that can be drawn from those results. You don’t need to label these items in your abstract.

Make sure to be thorough and clear in your summary of the methods and results. Attach the grading

rubric when you turn in the abstract.

2.Audience: Write the abstract from the perspective of one of the authors of the paper, as if the abstract will be

included as part of the published primary research article. Do not write as if you are summarizing

someone else’s research. The abstract is directed at a professional, scientific audience. Choose your

wording accordingly.

3.Wording: Write the abstract by paraphrasing in your own words. This means that you must come up with

original sentences and parts of sentences, instead of using the authors’ original sentence structure and

just replacing words with synonyms, or slightly altering sentence structure. Taking notes in your own

words can help you avoid plagiarism. Also make sure that you process and understand what you read.

4.No quoting. Exactly 250 words; A single paragraph; Double spaced; 12 pnt font Include statistics
