Internet-Based Psychological Interventions

I have posted this question before and trusted it was done right! But the questions were not answered and  my professor was quite upset. I have to have this with in the next hour with everything answered!

PLEASE!!!!!

Internet Based Interventions

The issue that I have researched and that is affected by the use of internet in psychology is the interventions related to the therapy. The electronic interventions or the internet based interventions are a broad area which includes, therapy, psychological support, information or education and support in many fields. In the spirit of counseling, it too refers to the boundary among the psychologist and the client. While the customer/client may, for instance, merely experience or way in the straightforward information offered by the website, or work together with a psychologist all the way through online counseling, the psychologist should continue to go after the guidelines for the ethical and the best practice for a certain service they offer.

This segment provides the information and the references to the present strategy for the provision of the internet based interventions; types of the internet based interventions; assessment of the internet based interventions, and the hyperlinks to a collection of the websites offering types of the therapy intervention.

Jane Gackenbach believes that there are those of the profession fascinated by the dialogue taking place on the internet. It is believed that telehealth will grow in the near future, however is being surveillant at present. Gackenbach is reserved but also vivacious ly anticipating the aggrandizement of the forthcoming interaction in the field of psychology. ( Brenner, 2000).

Guidelines and Standard for proper online therapy

While the condition, expenditure and relevance of the psychological knowledge, information and the services ranging from the corporeal and mental health to the organizational, neuropsychological and sports it has been swiftly increasing in the use and accomplishment from the time when the 1990s, the practice guiding principle are a comparatively new expansion. Since the year 2000, the APS has prepared obtainable to its members the ethical guidelines for offering the internet based mental treatment services and the goods. Other guiding principle for providing the internet based support services encompass has been urbanized. Adhering to the ethical and moral guiding principles not merely helps make sure of a safer and improved excellence of the services provided to the consumers/clients, but that the experience of exposure to risk is minimized for the psychologists.

Critical Thinking in Action

Write a 3-5 page academic paper in which you describe a business situation, apply a critical thinking framework to the situation, and recommend evidence-based solutions to the situation. Explain how the concepts of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) could affect both the situation and the solution.

Introduction

This portfolio work project will give you practice with academic writing expectations, while still being work-relevant. Many organizations have relationships with professional associations and contribute written articles regularly to newsletters and other publications. In addition, some organizations expect leaders to participate in conferences and seminars, where written work must be submitted using an academic style.

Scenario

From time to time, your organization submits papers to academic publications to help showcase the organization’s thought leadership. Your boss wants to be assured that you are comfortable researching and writing in a style that many academic publications use—in this case, APA style.

Your Role

Your boss has asked you to research and write about ways that businesses can apply critical thinking skills to complex issues that are also affected by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). To gain an understanding of how businesses apply critical thinking, you have decided to read an article about Panera Bread Co. and how they solved their mosh pit problem. Then, you will choose another company that you know has a problem you believe good critical thinking and understanding of VUCA can address, allowing you to flex some critical thinking muscles, similar to the leadership at Panera.

Requirements

Use the following as the basis for this assessment:

Think about how critical thinking and VUCA factored into Panera’s situation, using the Wall Street Journal article above. Then, think of a problem you have seen at a business you visited or read about in an article, and do any research you feel is necessary to thoroughly understand the problem this company has and to address this assessment.

Write an APA-formatted paper that is well organized and covers the following:

  • Write an introduction that tells the reader what to expect of this paper (1 paragraph).
  • Provide an overview of the Panera bread situation, including brief mention of how critical thinking and VUCA factored into the resolution. Then, transition to a discussion of the problem you will be solving for another company, describing the situation (3–4 paragraphs).
  • Apply the framework for critical thinking as outlined by Kallet to the problem you identified.
  • Recommend at least one evidence-based solution to the situation.
    • You must find one additional article to support your recommendation.
  • Explain how VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) could affect both the situation and your recommendation (1–2 paragraphs).
  • Write a conclusion that wraps up and summarizes your document (1 paragraph).

Deliverable Format

Write a 3–5 page academic paper following APA style and formatting. Refer to the writing resources in the MBA Program Resources in the left navigation menu in the courseroom.

Related company standards:
  • This assessment is an academic paper and should therefore follow the corresponding format for academic papers as listed in the MBA Academic and Professional Document Guidelines (located in the MBA Program Resources in the courseroom navigation panel).
  • In addition to the content requirements, include:
    • Title page.
    • References page.
    • APA formatted references

Can mike sue jake due to unauthorized practice of law?

Jake is a 25-year-old paralegal at a post-Superbowl party. In attendance at the party is his college friend, Mike. Both guys are enjoying themselves. There were a lot of people smoking marijuana, including Mike, drinking beer, eating pretzels, and just having a good time. Jake was the designated driver for his friends, so he did not smoke or drink. At the end of the party, Mike said to Jake, “You are a paralegal. I haven’t been drinking at all but I was smoked a lot of marijuana and I’m pretty high. Please tell me if I can drive home.”

In response, Jakes tells him:

Oh, I know the Ohio law on this. You can definitely drive home. You did not drink anything and only cocaine is considered a drug for driving purposes. I am sure the police won’t stop you but even if they do, the law is on your side.

Unfortunately, it turns out that Jake was incorrect. Mike veered off the road and ended up driving into a tree, damaging his car. When the police came, they took a blood sample from Mike and found that he was driving under the influence of marijuana, which is illegal in Ohio. The officers’ immedietely arrested him and jailed for 3 days. Later on, points are added to his license.

Mike comes to your office and meets with your supervising attorney, Roberta, to discuss the possibility of suing Jake based on his statement to Mike and Mike’s reliance on it. Because Jake sincerely believed that what he was saying was true, Roberta immediately rules out the possibility of suing him for fraud or misrepresentation. (Note: This means you should NOT deal with the possibility of suing him for fraud or misrepresentation or the like!)

Instead, Mike says to Roberta, “Well, Jake isn’t a lawyer. Isn’t it wrong for him to tell me what the Ohio law is when he’s not even a lawyer?” Roberta replies, “Well, I know that it’s unethical and even criminal to practice law without a license, but I don’t know if you can sue someone for unauthorized practice of law. I’ll have my star paralegal look into that.”

After Mike leaves, Roberta asks you to research this question, i.e., whether Mike can sue Jake based on his unauthorized practice of law, and to get back to him with an answer. Please prepare a properly researched essay to answer Mike’s question.

An IRAC-style essay is appropriate for this assignment.

Data Collection and Analysis

Assignment Overview

Earlier in the course, you converted your research topic into an overarching or primary research question. Even the most focused research question may contain within it a series of more fundamental and related questions. Once these are determined, the researcher must then determine the kinds of information necessary to answer it.

By successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following EPAs and practice behaviors:

  • EPA 2.1.3: Apply critical thinking to inform and communicate professional judgments.
    • PB 2.1.3.A: Distinguish, appraise, and integrate multiple sources of knowledge, including research-based knowledge, and practice wisdom.
      • Related Assignment Criteria:
        • 3. Describe data sources (artifacts, literature, et cetera) relevant to a given research problem.
        • 5. Explain the approach to relevant data interpretation.
  • EPA 2.1.10: Engage, assess, intervene, and evaluate with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
    • PB 2.1.10(b).A: Collect, organize, and interpret client data.
      • Related Assignment Criteria:
        • 4. Identify contextually appropriate data-collection tools.
        • 5. Explain the approach to relevant data interpretation.
        • 6. Explain the appropriate audience for final data analysis.

Assignment Description

In this assignment, you will identify a series of sub-questions that must be answered in order to find the answer or answers to the primary question. You will also begin to identify the kinds of data you will need, from whom you will gather it, and which methods you will apply to your proposed study. The approach you use “may depend on your topic, purpose, and intended use of the study results, as well as the orientation toward social science that you adopt” (Neuman, 2013, p. 110).

The sub-questions you have identified will help you determine the kinds of data you would need to collect in order to address your research question. Who will be answering these questions: who will your participants be? Is the data quantitative or qualitative in nature—should it be in the form of numbers or words? What methods might you apply to glean the information that you seek? What instruments, measures, or tools would you use in your study?

Also, identify how you would analyze the data that you collect. Will you be conducting statistical analyses of any kind? Or, will you be using coding and categorizing? Will you be using any computer software to assist with the analysis?

Finally, consider the results of the study. Who should know about these results? How will you present them?

Assignment Instructions

For this assignment:

  1. Restate your overarching research question.
  2. Identify any sub-questions that require answers in order to address the primary question. What are they?
  3. What kind of data do you need to address the questions?
    • Who are your proposed study participants?
    • Are you seeking information represented by numbers or words? Stated differently, are you interested in quantitative or qualitative data, or both?
  4. Identify the instruments or tools that you would use to collect data.
  5. What approach to data analysis do you intend to use?
    • Explain why you have selected this approach.
    • Will you use any computer software or programs to assist with the data analysis?
  6. To whom will you present the results of the study and why?
    • How do you propose to present them?
    • What format would be most appropriate to communicate your results to your audience?

Additional Requirements

The assignment you submit is expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Written communication: Written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message.
  • APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to current APA style and formatting standards.
  • Length of paper: Minimum of 3 double-spaced pages.
  • Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.

About “racism” Paper

Develop an interpretation of a movie by nesting that video text in a context—an outside story or body of research that deepens our understanding of the movie’s idea.

You will have to present a coherent depiction of the context you choose, in addition to clear, rigorous representations of the film and written texts you are incorporating. You will also need a beginning that spells out the question or problem you are pursuing; a middle that uses evidence to help you think in new and surprising ways; and an ending that signals your new perspective on or understanding of your subject.

Whatever context you choose, you will need to help an unfamiliar reader understand it and see how it can serve as a lens through which to see the movie you are reading closely.

Requirements:

At least 4 written texts (including one from the Broadview Anthology).

MLA format & citation.

Length: 6 – 8 doubled-spaced pages; at least 10 paragraphs

You have already written a good deal for this first project of the semester: homework exercises, a collage piece, free-writes, in-class reflections. Now it’s time to write the first full draft of your Developing Contexts essay. This draft should clearly articulate the problem you are pursuing, while shedding light on related problems explored by your movie and the arguments that movie and other texts offer for our consideration.

Work to show your reader the problem or question you are pursuing, and your argument about that problem (or answer to that question).

For this draft, keep in mind the Rule of Two: if you are not sufficiently analyzing your movie or other evidence in your draft, begin to address this lack and write more sentences of analysis and reflection.

Incorporate four texts: your movie, and three ancillary texts (including one from Broadview).

Length of draft 1: At least 5 compelling pages, double-spaced, MLA-style.

Your final draft should be 6-8 pages (probably 10-15 paragraphs) and should include a minimum of five sources (including your movie).

A successful final draft will include:

  • a description and assessment of a particular context that helps us understand the ideas and argument of your movie;
  • clear representation and analysis of the movie and four additional texts;
  • citation and incorporation of written sources using summary, paraphrase & quotation;
  • an interpretive argument, derived from the movie in context, that touches on the broader implications of the movie’s idea;
  • clarity of sentence-level writing and thinking;
  • a clear beginning, middle and end.

Project 1 Memorandum

Purpose:

World War II brought a significant increase of employment to manufacturing in the United States. Once the war ended, the economy slowly returned to one with more jobs in the service industry. Employment in the service industry began to accelerate in the 1960 and although employment in the manufacturing industry peaked in the 1970’s the recession of 1980 saw manufacturing flat line with little recovery. Employment in the service industries continue to rise.

There has been a movement to bring manufacturing back to the United States. The ‘Made in America’ movement is currently underway and is a critical initiative in the business world and one that has received attention by President Donald Trump.

In this project, you will learn about the ‘Made in America’ label, what it means for businesses, consumers and the economies of the United States and other countries.

Skill Building:

You are also completing this project to help you develop the skills of research, writing and developing a memo. Writing is critical because in business it is important to convey information clearly and concisely and to develop a personal brand. Developing a personal brand is important because it is the ongoing process of establishing an image or impression in the minds of others especially those in positions above you. Having a strong personal brand can lead to opportunities that include promotions.

Skills: Research, Writing, Writing a Memo, Developing a Personal Brand.

Outcomes Met With This Project:

  • discuss the financial, economic, regulatory, sociopolitical, and technological factors as they relate to a dynamic business environment
  • identify the critical business functions and how they interact in order to position the organization to be effective in the current business environment

This project is the first of two projects. You will read a case scenario related to ‘Made in America.’ This project requires you to research ‘Made in America’ and using the research and the course material, write a memorandum (memo) addressing the required elements of the project. A memo is an internal written communication.

Read the following:

Leanne Marshall is the owner of Nouveau Fashions, a small apparel manufacturing business. As of late, Marshall has been watching ABC World News Tonight with David Muir and just this morning read, Remarks at a “Made in America” Roundtable Discussion.

Marshall called you into her office for a meeting and during the meeting, she shared a statement that President Trump made during the Roundtable Discussion – “Made in America” is more than a label or a product. The ‘Made in America’ movement intrigues Marshall. She wants to know more. Marshall admits to not knowing very much about the label. However, she believes Nouveau Fashions is eligible to use the label because the majority of the fabric used in Nouveau Fashions’ products are made in-house. What is not made in-house comes from the Massachusetts Cloth Roads Cooperative for of the company is a member.

Marshall asked you to research the standards and requirements of ‘Made in America’ and to provide answers to the elements below. Marshall wants you to send her a memo with your findings. Marshall has provided you with the following articles about ‘Made in America’ so you can become familiar with the movement. You will review these articles as well as do additional research on ‘Made in America.’ Marshall has stressed that she wants you to thoroughly research the topic and provide her with a complete explanation of each element so she can make the best decision for the company.

Instructions:

Step 1: Research

Read the scenario and articles provided above to gain an understanding of ‘Made in America.’ Then, start your research at the UMUC library. You may use the Internet but it is important to use caution in ensuring you obtain valid information.

Research thoroughly so that you can completely address all requiredelements. For example, there is more than one requirement to sell products with a ‘Made in America’ label.

Step 2: Write an Introduction

Write an introduction that is between 3 and 5 sentences that thoroughly explains in a clear and direct manner the purpose of the memo as it relates to ‘Made in America.”

Step 3: Elements to Address

Answer whether ‘Made in America’ is more than a label or a product by thoroughly responding to required items below. You must use research, the course material and the case scenario facts to support the reasoning for what is presented. If you do not understand how to support what you write, then go to Content in the classroom and read the module, Learn How to Support What You Write. The support provided is a key element to the memo.

  • Identify and discuss the requirements for Nouveau Fashions to sell its products with a ‘Made in America’ label;
  • Discuss the implications for Nouveau Fashions if it sells its products with the ‘Made in America’ label.
  • Discuss the implications for current customers if Nouveau Fashions moves to this label;
  • Explain why manufacturing is important for the U.S. economy.
  • Discuss the implications of ‘Made in America’ on the economy of other countries.

Step 4: Set Up the Memorandum

Create a Word or Rich Text Format (RTF) document (no pdf files allowed) using 12-point font. A memo is left-justified with no indentations of paragraphs. A memo is single-spaced with a double space between paragraphs to make the memo easy to read.

The memo will be no longer than one and a half (1.5) pages in length excluding the title page and reference page. In business, writing must be concise, easy to read and free of writing and grammatical errors.

You are required to use in-text citations with an associated reference list. (on a separate page).

Use headings for each element. It is suggested that you set up the memo with all of the required headings and then fill in each section of the memo.

Use a memo format:

To:

From:

Date:

Subject:

Remember, you are sending this memo to your boss so proof the memo carefully for typos, grammatical errors and ensure the memo conveys the points you have been asked to address. Why? Because your work products is a reflection of who you are – it is your brand! A good brand can lead to future opportunities in an organization such as a promotion.

Make sure the memo is audience appropriate, concise, coherent, readable, uses appropriate terminology, is professional, provides a factual tone (no opinion and no recommendations), and is visually appealing.

Step 5: Write the Memo

When writing the memo, it is important to:

  • organize the document clearly in a manner that promotes understanding and meets the requirements of the assignment. Use headings.
  • develop coherent paragraphs or points so that each is unified with good transitions so that each function as part of the whole document.
  • tailor the communication to the audience.
  • use sentence structure appropriate to the task, message and audience.
  • follow conventions of Standard Written English. Therefore, how the memo is written is a critical part of this project. This memo is informational so there should be no recommendations made and no opinion offered. Also, avoid posing questions and following the format for a memo is a must!

The expectation is that you provide a robust use of the course readings and research to support the ideas, reasoning and conclusions presented. This means that you will present an idea or provide reasoning, and then use your research or the course material to explain the idea, reasoning or conclusion made. Stringing one sentence after another using the course readings or research does not meet the requirement and does not demonstrate critical thinking. Critical thinking is demonstrated when the “why and how” and the “who and what” are thoroughly explained.

Step 6: Review the Memo

You are going to send this memo to Leanne Marshall (your boss) Read the memo to ensure all required elements are present. Make sure not to talk about Marshall but inform Marshall. You also need to use facts from the case scenario in writing the memo.

It is highly encouraged that you use the Effective Writing Center (EWC), which can be found by clicking on Resources on the Main Navigation Bar on Resources.

The following items are required in writing the memo. Check off to ensure compliance to the following requirements.

  • Use the grading rubric while completing the project to ensure all requirements are met that will lead to the highest possible grade.
  • Third person writing is required. Third person means that there are no words such as “I, me, my, we, or us” (first person writing), nor is there use of “you or your” (second person writing).
  • Contractions are not used in business writing, so do not use them.
  • Students will not use direct quotation marks but will instead paraphrase. What this means is that you will put the ideas of an author or article into your own words rather than lifting directly from a source document. You may not use more than four consecutive words from a source document (including the case scenario) or change words in a passage as doing so would require direct quotation marks. Use a passage from a source document by putting into your own words (paraphrase) and attribute the passage to the source document. Changing words from a passage does not exclude the passage from having to have quotation marks.
  • Use in-text citations and provide a reference list that contain a reference associated with each in-text citation.
  • Provide the page or paragraph number in every in-text citation presented.
  • You may not use books other than the e-book provided in the classroom. You will depend on the course material, the article provided above and research. Research is necessary to do well on this project.
