If you do copy something from a source word for word, even a phrase as small as three words together, then you are required to put quotations “” around what is copied, there should be an intext citation of the source and the source info should be added to the reference list. This allows you to show that the material is not your own words but a direct copy of the material. Quotations should not be longer than a sentence or two per paragraph as this paper is supposed to be in your own words and your own work. Without quoting the word for word copied material and providing a source –– then it can be considered a form of plagiarism.

Topic : Two Views of the “Forgotten Man”

Paragraph two should cite and explain the reason Why of the subject according to the textbook.In citing sources for this effort I want the title, author, copyright date and publishing house named.This paragraph should run no more than four sentences of direct material or less.

Paragraph three should present the methods of How the effort or action was undertaken according to the text source.Each of these sentences describing How the effort is undertaken should be like the lead sentence of a new paragraph.You must have a minimum of three how’s and more if available.

Paragraph four should define the Result according to the textbook.Limit this to three sentences.

Paragraph five should employ the same format as paragraph two to cite and describe the Why from the Second College Level Primary Source.

Paragraph six needs to define the methods How from the Second Source in the order the author provides.Often the same reasons are given for how a structure or event took place but the order is different and this affects the context of the paper and the result.

Paragraph seven needs to explain the Result as defined from the second source.

Paragraph eight defines the Why from your third primary source. Again employ the structure of the second and fifth paragraph to cite this source and define it.

Paragraph nine defines the How of the third source in the order and context presented.

Paragraph ten explains the result according to the third source as structured in paragraphs four and seven.

Paragraph twelve presents either your defense of the selection of your interpretation according to your research.A DEFENSE Three defined reasons in three separate sentences why you selected the material defining the subject assigned.Two reasons for why each of the other resources was not able to explain the subject properly. Research Project Grading Guidelines

Grading Terms. Your final project for this class is worth
200 points. Regardless of the type of project you choose to do, you will be
graded on the following terms:

Literary Analysis and Author Contribution. At least fifty
percent of your project should relate to an analysis of the literature,
regardless of whether or not you choose to write about an author. The purpose
of this class is to learn to read, relate to, and understand literature, so, in
turn, you can interpret the literature intelligently and relate your findings
to others. Equally important is understanding how the authors of the time
period contributed overall to the development of American literature.

Presentation and Appearance. The way you present your
project, be it a paper, PowerPoint presentation, or other form of media, will
be assessed. Did you follow proper MLA formatting guidelines? Is the
presentation visually appealing? Can all the text on the slides be seen?

Grammar, Punctuation, and Spelling. These elements are
graded in your papers, so they will be graded on your final project, too. If
you are working in a program other than Word or a word processing program that
has automatic spell check, I suggest you turn on the spell check feature (you
can do this in PowerPoint) or type your text in Word and copy and paste it
over.

Creativity is not a factor in your overall grade. That is, a
paper on the author’s style will not receive less points than, say, a
PowerPoint presentation. All projects, regardless of media, are assessed on the
same key points.

Points Breakdown. 200 points is the equivalent of two
opinion papers. Your grade will be divided this way:

50 points – grammar, punctuation, and spelling; MLA
formatting; presence of thoughtful reflection (if applicable)

150 points – literary analysis; generation of ideas;
incorporation of primary and secondary sources; clear use of elements of
writing (development, coherence, consistency, unity); complete development of
ideas; clear thesis, established and proved by project end

Research Paper—Author’s Style. Choose an author we have
studied this semester and write a five to seven page research paper discussing
this author’s style. Look at three to five primary sources (these can include
some of the literature we covered in class, though you should also address some
of the author’s other contributions as well) and use three to five secondary
sources (be sure they are reputable, which means no Wikipedia or SparkNotes) as
support.

For this week’s assignment, you are to read chapter 17 from The Molecular Basis of Cancer textbook by Mendelsohn et al, then write a chapter summary on the topic “Tumor Angiogenesis”. It should not be more than two(2) pages long and must be in AMA format.

Use specific and clear examples to highlight your understanding of the concepts

Use the appropriate scientific language and terminology for the topic and your scientific audience/readers/policy makers
