Considering your chosen topic Police Brutality write a two (2) page paper in which you:

1. Discuss how technologies or information systems have contributed to the problem.
2. Discuss how you will propose technology be implemented into the solution.

Option #1: Costs and Benefits of Conducting Business Ethically

In a three- to four-page paper, address the following:

1. Choose an unethical behavior in organizations
   1. Examples: Time misuse, sexual harassment, bullying, inappropriate computer use, illegal acts.
2. Identify a business you feel may be acting in an unethical manner and describe the unethical behavior.

Your paper should be three to four pages in length and conform to CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. This assignment has two parts. You must submit both parts of the assignment to receive full credit.

PART 1)

For the first part, you are to choose a company and create a two to four (2-4) minute dynamic video on your company’s Code of Conduct. You may use any type of recording device you have to create this video (i.e. smartphone, laptop, webcam, or other type of video recorder). The specific points to cover for this video are listed below.

OR

As an alternative to the video, you may submit a one to three (1-3) page memo that details what you would say in such a presentation following the same prompts as the video assignment below.

Part 1: Video Presentation OR Paper Requirements
Prepare and present a video that is a maximum of two to four (2-4) minutes OR write a one to three (1-3) page memo in which you:

1. List specific aspects & parts of your company’s Supplier Code of Conduct, and any changes that you have made in recent years.

2. In your own words, explain how each aspect of your Supplier Code of Conduct is committed to ethical business practices and society social responsibility.

If you choose the written paper instead of the video, your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

• Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, your name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

PART 2)

For the second part of the assignment, you will create a presentation using PowerPoint (or other equivalent software) summarizing the important aspects and explanations regarding the supplier code of conduct that you communicated in your video/paper presentation to email to the suppliers after the meeting for future reference. The specific points to cover are listed below.

Note: If you are using a tablet or smartphone you will need to email the video file to yourself, then save it to a computer in order to upload to Blackboard. You may want to upload your video to a file sharing service, such as Dropbox, if your email will not let you send a large video file. Dropbox is accessible from all smartphones and tablets from the Dropbox app.

Once you are ready to upload your video to Blackboard, view the Kaltura video tutorial found in your online course shell (Week 9). Please use the following naming convention in the popup window for your video once it is finished uploading:

Part 2: PowerPoint Presentation
Create a four to six (4-6) slide PowerPoint presentation in which you:

1. Summarize your chosen company’s Supplier Code of Conduct information.

2. Discuss your company’ s stance on each of the following areas:

a. Empowering Workers

b. Labor and Human Rights

c. Health and Safety

d. The Environment

e. Accountability

3. Identify the key ways that your company’s Code of Conduct has changed in recent years (i.e. have there been any improvements made).

4. Examine the manner in which your company’s Supplier Code of Conduct helps the organization operate as a socially responsible organization.

5. Provide detailed speaker notes of what you would say if you were delivering the presentation.

6. Submit a reference page with at least two (2) quality references from the past 2 years that you have used for this presentation / paper. Note: Wikipedia and other websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Grading for this assignment will be based on answer quality, logic / organization of the paper, and language and writing skills.

The Hunting Ground documentary-

Watch the Hunting Ground documentary. It’s 86 minutes. This assignment will account for 2 BB class assignments and 30 points.

Answer 3 of the following questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Your response to each question should be 200 words.

1. How did the stories shared in the film relate to your own experiences of campus life? Is your administration effective at creating a learning environment free from violence and intimidation? Why or why not?

2. Sexual violence survivors experienced doubt, disbelief or reprimand from university administrators when they reported their assaults. Were you surprised by the administrators’ responses? How did you expect administrators to react to reports of rape?

3. What stereotypes exist about sexual violence perpetrators? What about the victims of sexual violence? How do misconceptions limit the ability to provide survivor support or effective prevention education?

4. What examples of victim blaming did you see in The Hunting Ground? Have you witnessed these examples or other forms of victim blaming on your campus or in the media? How does victim blaming perpetuate the problem of sexual violence?

5. The film exposes a link between the profitability of universities and their willingness to protect student athletes from investigation or disciplinary action when they are accused of sexual violence. Do you think universities can prevent the conflict of interest that pits justice against financial gain in industries like sports and fraternities? If so, how?

6. Student activists used federal law to hold their universities accountable for investigating and adjudicating instances of sexual violence on campus. Beyond legal action, how else do students in the film hold their universities to account? Which approaches felt most powerful or inspiring to you?

7. The Hunting Ground reveals a systemic problem of sexual violence across college campuses. How might students, parents, alumni, faculty or administrators work together regionally or nationally to improve campus safety?
