rough Draft of Final Paper
In this course, we look at classical ethical theories of utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics. We also examine different perspectives on ethical issues introduced by relativism, ethical egoism, and emotivism. For this paper, you will apply these theories and perspectives to a current issue, selected from the list of issues below.
Choose one of the ethical issues from the list to research and write about. It is recommended that you choose a topic that you are familiar with or that you have thought about previously, if possible. For example, you might choose an issue that either worries you or enrages you, you might choose one that you have worked on, or you might choose one that relates to recent events in your community.
Possible Issues
In your paper, you will apply the ethical theories and perspectives to the issue that you select. You do not have to use all six, but you should apply at least two ethical theories and at least one ethical perspective in your paper. Make sure that you write primarily on ethical topics and concepts; do not get distracted by doing analyses that apply political, economic, religious, or legal perspectives. Describe, compare, and apply the ethical theories and perspectives to the topics. Explain how the theories and perspectives would analyze the issue. What are the ethical issues? Where are there breaches of ethical behavior? How could each theory help us think about what would constitute virtuous or ethical behavior?
Your draft must include at least three pages of text, plus a title page and a reference page. Your draft should include a clear thesis statement that states what you plan to argue. Also, include a list of the resources you intend to use. Format your rough draft according to APA (6th edition) style and properly cite and reference all your resources, using APA format. If you would like to refer to APA samples and tutorials, visit the Ashford Writing Center, within the Learning Resources tab in the left navigation bar
This can be for any company filing on www.sec.gov website
I need a help wit a paper of approximately 500 words that
respond to the following questions with thoughts, ideas, and comments.
This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates.
Obtain an audit report of a publicly held company. Audit reports can be found on the company Web site or on the SEC Web site at www.sec.gov. Provide a brief description on the company and discuss the outcome of the audit report, to include the following:
Discussion : Social Change
In this course, you may have found it interesting to discover how extensively culture impacts psychology. Culture influences human development, identity and personality, attitudes and beliefs, and healthcare. As a scholar-practitioner, you may want to create a positive social change. In doing so, reflect on your future role as a scholar-practitioner. Consider the possible future research related to culture and psychology you might be interested in conducting. Think about how you may affect social change.
In the essay, please follow the structure as below:
1. A brief description of two topics related to culture that you might be interested in researching further.
Topic one: How does gender bias ads influences consumers purchase intentions in different countries?
Topic two: The portrayal, expectation or stereotype attitudes toward women in different cultures.
2. Then, as a future scholar-practitioner, explain two ways you might impact social change in relation to culture and psychology.
Two ways:
1. Encourage many large organisations to produce gender equality ads, not stereotyping men or women.
2. Increase gender equality and empower women in different culture.
Be specific and use examples to illustrate your points.
must be 400 words.
PART 1:
To prepare for this part of the forum, first watch the documentary A Class Divided at
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/divided/
Transcript for the video is also available at: https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/class-divided/transcript/
Although this “Blue Eyes – Brown Eyes Experiment” featured in this video is considered today to be of great importance in terms of what it reveals about human propensity for prejudice and discrimination as evidenced by the behavior of the documentary’s elementary school children, the experiment is also controversial because it not only placed children in psychologically distressful situations, but did so without the permission of parents or other adult guardians. Today, it could not be conducted as it was back in the 1960s.
For this discussion, think about a study that you have read or viewed a video about during previous course weeks that you feel also raises serious ethical concerns. Do you think that study should have been performed? That is, does the knowledge gained from this study justify the deception or discomfort experienced by the subjects? If the experiment’s negative impact on subjects was only temporary, does this fact diminish the ethical problems to an acceptable level in your opinion? What standards of ethics would you follow if you were a researcher?
PART 2:
Describe 3 learning take-aways you will take with you when you leave the course. A take-away is particular knowledge that you gained during course completion that has particular meaning and that you believe you will be able to use in the future. Identifying something such as what a textbook chapter focused on or summarizing book content, lecture notes, etc. does not count as a take-away. For this part of the forum you will want to think about what you have learned this term that really has meaning for you and that you can see yourself putting to future use. Quotes cannot be included in Part 2. You will need describe each take-away in your own words.
The course is social psychology.
Upon successful completion of this course students will have:
CO1: Examined social influences that affect group and individual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors;
CO2: Appraised studies of conformity, obedience, and groupthink;
CO3: Examined strategies used to persuade and communicate;
CO4: Examined cognitive-social group processes influencing judgments and perceptions;
CO5: Analyzed causal models of human aggression;
CO6: Appraised strategies for reducing prejudice;
CO7: Examined mental processes associated with liking and loving; and
CO8: Analyzed methods of research in social psychology.
First discuss the details of the policy issue you are examining.Give the basic facts such as what the problem is, how the policy attempts to solve the problem, who would be affected by changes in the policy, and whether the issue has been addressed by policy makers in the past.Include any other pertinent details.This section of the paper should be at least one and a half to two pages long but you can make it longer if you like.
Second discuss the opinions of those in favor of the particular public policy change and those against it.For example if you are writing about the three-strikes law, tell why some oppose it and why some think it is a good idea.This part of your paper should not reflect your opinion on the issue, rather it should be an unbiased look at both sides of the issue.It will take about a page and a half to adequately cover each side of the argument so this section of the paper should be around three pages long.
Third identify your position on the topic and explain why you hold that opinion.This section of the paper should be at least one half a page long but may be longer if you have a lot to say about the issue.
Papers must be 4 pages long (not including the bibliography), typed and double spaced.If you use particularly large font, your paper must be correspondingly longer.You must cite at least three sources which can include books, journal articles, newspaper articles and the internet.You can use our textbook but it will not count as one of the outside sources.You should have at least three source citations per page, more would be better.You must include a bibliography in one of the major styles.I recommendAPA, MLA, or Turabian since you will probably use one of them in other classes.
Papers will be evaluated based on the amount of relevant information they contain and how well they integrate and illustrate concepts learned in class.The paper is not simply an opportunity for you to express your opinions on political issues (except for the third section of the paper). Your paper must provide a well researched, balanced examination of your topic to earn a satisfactory grade.

Definition Essay
For this essay sequence, we read the essay “The Perfect Job.” The essay deliberately argues for a specific way of understand the idea of a job, and then a perfect one, but it also interrogates the idea of the person who seeks that job and perfection. The essayist takes a phrase we frequently hear and asks us to think differently about it.
In Spring 2018 in America, which words are important to us?Which definitions will help us better understand the messages of our politicians and leaders?This essay will move you closer to that better understanding.We’ll take three key terms from major national discussions.
The terms we will define are:
Choose the ONE word from the list that speaks to you.
But what is a definition essay?
In a definition essay, a writer explores the subject by describing the qualities that distinguish it from any other subject.A definition essay defines a word, term, or concept in depth by providing a personal commentary on what the specific subject means.
Most physical objects have a definition about which most people agree.
However, abstract terms, such as love, pain, or patriotism, have different meanings for different individuals since such terms play on people’s feelings more than their physical senses.The definition essay provides a personal, extended definition of such terms by linking or comparing the term to a previous definition and by illustrating how that term should be applied.
How do you get started with the definition essay?
You probably know your term well enough so that you can provide specific examples to illustrate your definition.At the same time, the term you’re assigned may seem too broad or general since pinning it down to a single definition is very difficult.This is where your narrowing skills come into play.The clustering exercise below will help you narrow your term and find some specific examples or associations you can use.
Journalling Exercise
Clustering as a Way of Locating Your Definition Material
Using the following central questions, use clustering to try and gather as much material as you can for your definition.
Outline your paper carefully
Outlining will help you determine the specific points you want to cover in the definition and point out where you need examples.
I. Introduction
A. Attention getter
1. You may want to include a limited, tiny version of the traditional or dictionary definition here to provide a basis for your personal definition.
2. You may want to open with a contradictory image to what would be your image to illustrate that definition.
B. Thesis: State how you define the term. If you can write the definition using specific points, you will find the definition easier to follow when writing the paper.
II. Body
A. Background information:
1. Often unnecessary in this type of paper
2. However, you may need to provide some background about the term or your connection to the term.You might want to include ways the term is used (or misused) in the current campaigns and then work with or against that.
B. Point one
1. The first part of your definition of the term.
2. Example to illustrate that point.
3. Analysis of how the example illustrates the point.
C. Point two
1. The second part of the definition of the term.
2. Example to illustrate that point.
3. Analysis of how the example illustrates the point.
D. Point three
1. The third part of the definition (if there is one)
2. Example to illustrate that point.
3. Analysis of how the example illustrates the point.
E. Point four, etc.
III. Conclusion
A. Review your definition’s main points
B. Closing attention getter
1. Sometimes a reference back to the opening attention-getter is a good way of unifying the entire essay.
2. You may want to close with an explanation of how your definition has affected you.

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeOrganization/attention to mode and assignmentOrganization is the physical structure of your paper, including the way you group those original ideas. If you have organizational issues, I mark the areas in which you’re struggling and try to give you advice. Attention to mode means exactly that: if we are writing a narrative, as in essay 2, you use narrative tactics and tell a story. If we are writing in process mode, you show the steps of the process. And so on. Attention to the assignment is also pretty clear. It means that, if I’ve asked you to write in a certain mode about a certain topic, you do that. If I ask you to include no outside information or sourced material, you go with that instruction. |

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeStyle and DictionDiction is simply word choice. If you have issues finding the best word to express your thoughts, again, I will point that out and make suggestions. Some students make bad diction choices when they use a thesaurus to try and make their writing sound more sophisticated. Please don’t use a thesaurus. Instead, increase your active vocabulary by READING MORE. Style is really about the sophistication of your expression. If you have awkward expression, or if you write the way you speak, I will mark you out on style. |

Paragraph 6
write a paragraph responding to the discussion bellow. Add citations and references in alphabetical order.
My strengths when it comes to facilitating spiritual care for patients with a different world view that is different from my own would be to engage and encourage discussion about their beliefs and needs. I do not have a problem putting by personal beliefs aside to incorporate and respect the patient’s spiritual care.
My weakness would be lack of knowledge of all the different world views to facilitate spiritual care. However, I would inform the patient I am not familiar and I would ask them questions to gain knowledge as well as speak with the provider and do my own research.
If I was the patient my husband and mother would have the final say in terms of ethical decision-making and interventions in the event of a difficult situation that I was not able to do so for myself. I have shared my wishes with both of them, but I do have to admit that I do not have a living will as I should and as I recommend to my patients.
