Compare technology today to that of 10 years ago in the U.S. Many people view emerging technology as a positive. What are some of the reasons that emerging technology can also present a problem? What are some of the strategies to addressing this social problem? Identify at least one new technology that has been a major issue in your community?

Medical Technology

The medical field receives a great deal of funding for research. Identify one technology that has greatly affected the medical field in the past 5 years. How can emerging technologies in the medical field create social problems? Why are some of them so controversial?

Details:

In collaboration with your approved course mentor, you will identify
a specific evidence-based practice proposal topic for the capstone
project. Consider the clinical environment in which you are currently
working or have recently worked. The capstone project topic can be a
clinical practice problem, an organizational issue, a quality
improvement suggestion, a leadership initiative, or an educational
need appropriate to your area of interest as well as your practice
immersion (practicum) setting. Examples of the integration of
community health, leadership, and an EBP can be found on the
“Educational and Community-Based Programs” page of the Healthy
People 2020 website.

Write a 500-750 word description of your proposed capstone project
topic. Make sure to include the following:

1. The problem, issue, suggestion, initiative, or educational
   need that will be the focus of the project
2. The setting or
   context in which the problem, issue, suggestion, initiative, or
   educational need can be observed.
3. A description providing a
   high level of detail regarding the problem, issue, suggestion,
   initiative, or educational need.
4. Impact of the problem,
   issue, suggestion, initiative, or educational need on the work
   environment, the quality of care provided by staff, and patient
   outcomes.
5. Significance of the problem, issue, suggestion,
   initiative, or educational need and its implications to
   nursing.
6. A proposed solution to the identified project
   topic

You are required to retrieve and assess a minimum of 8 peer-reviewed
articles. Plan your time accordingly to complete this assignment.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA
Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

So you may either do a a a paper of 1000 words ( 4 pages). Or, you may do a PowerPoint presentation of 6 slides, with details in the note section, critiquing the topic there.

Remember, I want a ‘critique’ of your views and not just description, which ever method you present. I want your judgments to the best position that should be taken.

That would include your opinion in an introductory paragraph or the first slide that states your purpose for your choice, your thesis view (overall judgment of your topic, and areas that will be addressed).

PP or Paper:

1) Have a purpose statement: what do you intend to achieve with your selection.

2) Have a thesis comment, also known, as your judgment on the topic; that is to say, your view point. If contrasting two faiths, which stands out and impressed you the most.

3) List your supporting evidence, or areas that will be addressed that supports yours thesis view. Really do not tackle a broad topic but narrow it down.

And in subject header, on your PP or Paper, some idea of your topic when you submit it.

If a PP, please remember the slide should have an introduction, thesis or viewpoint; and areas of discussion. Just list them if a slide, and comment in the note section. If paper, a thesis comment, and just the areas that will be addressed. No need to amplify in the introductory element. And if you do PP presentation, bear in mind 6 by 6 guideline. Generally try to have no more than 6 words across and 6 lines down of information. Detail should be note section.

If a paper, transitional elements are important and I believe there still is some kind of ‘certificate of origin’ indicating your own work.

Also, ‘please critique’. I do not want a bunch of copy and paste material describing your content. Use it only to form the basis a critique on each key idea. What is your view of it; does it support your overall, thesis. Do you agree or disagree and why. It may even be wise to use the term, ‘ critique’ on a slide in the note section or paragraph or two as a sub header in your paper. This is important. I want your view, and not just a bunch of information.

Use the Internet to research one (1) publicly traded company and review its last annual report. Use an investor’s view to perform financial analysis and discuss various non-financial factors impacting investment decision.

Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

1. From an investor’s view, review the last annual report for chosen company. Use financial analysis tools of liquidity, profitability, and solvency to evaluate the company’s performance and reasons for investing or not investing. Include the company’s ranking in the industry, and its major competitors.
2. From an investor’s views, discuss at least three (3) non-financial factors that suggest investing in this company. These may include environmental responsibility (sustainability), corporate governance, etc. Explain the main reasons why these are important to an investor.
3. Use at least three (3) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not quality as academic resources.
