Training with Impact

Imagine that your training plans are not yielding the expected results in learning. There has been discussion with the leadership team about issues with employees not being motivated to learn. Your team has been asked by the HR Director to investigate what may be causing the lack of motivation. Your investigation should consider barriers to learning, motivational theories, and alternatives for enhancing employee motivation.

Create a report of no more than 700 words that summarizes the motivational theories.

Write a report that includes the following components:

  • A comparison of motivational theories.

Cite any outside sources according to APA formatting guidelines.

I need this to be 150-200 words please.

Value Base Management System

Analyze your current organizations Value Base Management system. In what stage is the organization – Embryonic, Learning, or Mature? Respond to all questions asked in your assignment, providing answers and supporting articles to support or refute findings. It is the best system for the organization? Provide a defense or means of support for your findings.

  • Write between 1,250 – 1,750 words (approximately 3 – 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
  • Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
  • Include cover page and reference page.
  • At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
  • No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
  • Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
  • Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.

Corrections

Throughout the course, you have been considering how the general community and the “will of the people” influence the criminal justice policy. You applied this concept to law enforcement and now will turn to corrections. As you have seen, elected officials are the primary connection between the populace and the government. By enacting laws, politicians translate the wishes of the voters into policy. For this discussion:

  • Describe the laws passed in the 1990s that relate to corrections and sentencing. What are the three changes that had the effect of keeping offenders incarcerated for longer periods of time, and for more crimes?
  • Analyze at least five effects these “get tough” policies have had. Are these negative effects are an acceptable price to pay for lower crime rates?
  • Can these “get tough” policies work alongside rehabilitation efforts? Why or why not?

Week 5 Final Paper

Week 5 – Final Project

Final Project

The Final Project should demonstrate an understanding of the reading assignments, class discussions, your own research and the application of new knowledge. It should utilize previous skills developed in foundational health care courses and apply them within the context and viewpoint of a health care administrator and their role in managing health and human services.

For the Final Project, the student will select one of the following topics and conduct scholarly and professional research while integrating the course’s learning outcomes to address a selected topic:

  • Research specific leadership and management traits and theories necessary for managing a multidisciplinary and multicultural health care organization to promote organizational effectiveness.
  • Present how strategic planning, performance improvement, and information systems are interrelated and fundamental to the delivery of quality health care.
  • Examine the financial characteristics of health care delivery along with managing costs, revenues, and human resources.
  • Analyze ethical and legal concepts, including specific federal regulations, required of health care organizations to ensure the delivery of high quality health care that protects patient safety.

Research Requirements

Academic research and papers must meet certain standards of quality that are recognized by the academic community. What constitutes quality academic research?

  • The use of primary (original), credible sources written by experts in the field of study.
  • Ensuring secondary sources are supported by research in primary sources.
  • Making sure all research is relevant and that material used is pertinent to the area of study.
  • In graduate work, the use of peer-reviewed journal articles (journal articles reviewed by recognized experts in the relevant field of study) is required.
  • Keep in mind that educational websites may be appropriate, in some cases, but should be evaluated carefully.

The Ashford University Library offers many excellent databases and other resources to assist you in conducting scholarly research.

What sources are not acceptable for academic research and referencing?

  • Encyclopedias
  • Dictionaries
  • Wikipedia, other wikis, or blogs
  • Websites and other sources that do not provide quality researched materials (e.g., they do not use credible sources to support the information in the document).

All research must reflect professional academic protocol and must be documented according to APA standards as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Creating the Final Project

Present your research in the form of a comprehensive 10- to 15-slide PowerPoint presentation (excluding title and reference slides) with detailed speaker notes including each of the elements listed below:

I. Introduction

Describe the issue. Include why it was selected, the perspective of your approach to the issue, and the scope of the paper or presentation. In essence, describe in this area what is being covered. Be specific and to the point. This is an important part of the project as it engages the reader and sets the scope of the research.

II. Statement of the Issue to be Investigated

Describe why the topic is a relevant problem or issue. It is important to provide literature sources in support of the importance of the need/issue/topic. For example, if you are interested in researching the issue of nutrition in early childhood brain development among American children – cite literature identifying the scope of the problem (for example: the number of malnourished children, the implications of malnourishment on learning and brain development; and long term implications). Overall, this section should detail what makes this topic or issue so important that you are spending time and energy researching it. What is the impact of the problem if nothing is done to correct the situation?

III. Research Sources

This section documents the relevant research reflecting the topic of the Final Project. In this section, paraphrased narratives of the actual research studies are reported and should represent the current research related to the topic area. In general, your research should:

  1. Identify your chosen topic and what has happened in the specific research of the topic (describe the study, sample, findings, important points from the discussion in the research article, and any variables that may influence the findings of the research).
  2. Discuss any key elements of the topic that may be instructional, legal, ethical, social, et (what is projected if nothing is done? what has been tried?). Support this section with relevant resource citations.
  3. Provide an analysis of the research articles used, including: explaining what was done in the study, what the target population was, information about who did the research (the author), what was found with the study, and any implications of the findings to your topic or issue.
IV. Conclusion

In this section, provide a general, but thorough summary reviewing: why the topic was selected; the problem or issue briefly stated; the approach that was used; findings; and solutions. In this section, the reader or audience should have a good idea of what the researcher did and what was found.

V. References

The references should be listed on a new page or slide and must be formatted according to APA requirements as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. You must use a minimum of six to eight scholarly sources.

VI. Creating a Good PowerPoint Presentation

Create your Final Project as if you were going to present it to the Board of Directors (BOD) of your organization. Therefore, it is very important not to overload your slides as you do not want your audience to feel as if it has to read the entire project. Your PowerPoint slides should be created with summarized bullet points on each slide, and the bulk of what you will be discussing about each bullet should be provided in APA format Notes Section under each slide. Please ensure to follow APA, avoid first person, proof read your work prior to submitting it.

M3 Discussion 2 – Family Systems Theory

In the Module 3 Section, “Videos of Various Therapeutic Models,” there are two videos

“Bowenian Family Therapy” and “Family Systems Therapy.”

In your Family Therapy text, Chapter 8, the text talks about Murray Bowen’s Family Systems Theory.

According to family systems theory, the following eight forces shape family functioning:

  1. Differentiation of the self,
  2. Triangles,
  3. Nuclear family emotional system,
  4. Family projection process,
  5. Emotional cutoff,
  6. Multigenerational transmission process,
  7. Sibling position, and
  8. Societal regression.

Based on what you have learned from the video and reading the text, choose one of these “eight forces”. Then describe your understanding of this concept and its importance in your original post.

You are required to post one original response to this Discussion thread and 2 replies to the original posts of your classmates.Cite your sources properly using APA style.

Discussion responses

Guided Response: Review several of your colleagues’ posts and respond to at least two of your peers by 11:59 p.m. on Day 7 of the week. You are encouraged to post your required replies earlier in the week to promote more meaningful interactive discourse in this discussion.

Personal Class Design Project – Part 1

Complete this assignment
according to the following:

1  Design a class that you would like to teach someday. The class
must be at least 4 hours in length and must be multiple sessions. It can be
four sessions of 1 hour each, or two sessions of 2 hours each, depending on
your topic and target audience.

2  Begin by describing the institution that is sponsoring the class
(e.g., academic, hospital, or community agency). Include the philosophy of the
sponsoring organization and how that will affect the course you are developing.

3  Explain how you determined a need for this class (needs
assessment).

4  Write a one-paragraph description of the class.

5  Identify the target audience.

6  Identify the learning resources you will use for the class
(textbooks or other resources).

7  Write the program outcomes for the course and the learner
objectives for each class session. Indicate which domains of learning are
represented by each learner objective.

There is no predetermined
length criterion for this assignment. It is intended that each student will
develop a class that they can use in their selected area of education.

Personal Class Design Project: Part 2

Using the “Personal
Class Design Project – Part 1” assignment you will complete the course
design to include learner objectives, outline, teaching strategies, and
associated evaluation, and method.

Using Part I, write and
revise the original learner objectives submitted.

Use the A-B-C-D method of
writing objectives. The objectives should incorporate Bloom’s taxonomy, be
written at the appropriate level for the audience, and include at least two
learning domains (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective). Refer to– Nursing
Education Seminar II: A-B-C-D Approach to Objective Writing” and “–
Nursing Education Seminar II: Learning Domains.”

Map out a class time frame,
outlining when to cover each of the content areas. Refer to “– Nursing
Education Seminar II: Lesson Plan Template.”

In addition to the content
area, include the class time frame:

8  Time frame for covering each topic area

9  Teaching strategy for each objective

10
How the learning will be
evaluated

Include rationale for each
selected instruction and the evaluation method used.

Support your rationale by citing at least three scholarly,
peer-reviewed resources (less than 5 years old) in addition to the course
materials
.

There is no predetermined
length for this assignment. It is intended that each student will develop a
class that can be utilized in the student’s selected area of education.

A-B-C-D Approach to Objective Writing

Writing objectives is much like
writing outcomes in the nursing process. Objectives must be measurable, contain
action verbs, be specific, include timelines, and indicate the degree to which
you expect the leaner to achieve.

A helpful formula to write
objectives is the A-B-C-D approach:

·  Audience:
Who is the audience for the class? Is it a student nurse? A staff nurse? A
participant in a class?

·  Behavior:
What do I want the audience to accomplish by the end of the class? An example
of a behavior is being able to identify the signs and symptoms of infection.

·  Condition:
How will students demonstrate mastery and be assessed in their learning? An
example could be that students will demonstrate their knowledge of a lab or
clinical area by taking a written test.

·  Degree:
How well will students perform their new knowledge? Should students be able to
identify all signs and symptoms of infection, or would it be satisfactory if
they identified only two symptoms?

A sample objective that
illustrates these points is: “After reading this lecture (condition), the
graduate student in the nurse educator track (audience) will be able to write
an objective (behavior) using the A-B-C-D approach (degree).”

The above objective dictates
that the student will be able to write an objective, as opposed to discussing
or identifying it. Since the objective says “write,” the student must write an
objective to meet this objective. If the objective instead said: “List the
components of a complete learner objective,” the appropriate evaluation would
require that the student list the A-B-C-D; whereas the objective “describe the
components” would have students describe the meaning of each A-B-C-D step.
Well-written objectives will dictate the evaluation process.

Nursing Education Seminar II: Learning
Domains

While objectives level the information to be
learned, domains of learning represent the areas in which one learns. The three
learning domains are cognitive, which represents intellectual knowledge;
psychomotor, which represents knowledge that requires kinesthetic or hands-on
application; and affective, which represents knowledge that is assimilated
through a change in attitude.

When a student learns the physiology of the
infectious process, it is cognitive knowledge. Psychomotor learning is
exemplified when a student learns to change a dressing over an infected wound.
Affective learning is demonstrated by a student who changes lifestyle habits to
decrease the transmission of infection or a student who learns to be
nonjudgmental toward patients with specific infections.

Since objectives must be measurable, words like know and understand are not suitable objective verbs. Requiring a student to
describe the pathophysiologic process and list the signs and symptoms of an
infection are examples of measurable objectives. Clear and well-written
objectives best communicate the educational focus and intent of the instruction
and inform both student and instructor as to how knowledge will be evaluated.

frame. Each topic should have its own template.  You can duplicate and use as many pages as
you need to outline your class content.

Complete Problem 50 in Chapter 10 on page 477.

10-55) A golf club manufacturer is trying to determine how the price of a set of clubs affects the demand for clubs. The file P10_50.xlsx contains the price of a set of clubs and the monthly sales.

  1. Assume the only factor influencing monthly sales is price. Fit the following three curves to these data: linear (Y = a + bX), exponential (Y = abX), and multiplicative (Y = aXb). Which equation fits the data best?
  2. Interpret your best-fitting equation.
  3. Using the best-fitting equation, predict sales during a month in which the price is $470.
