from what i am reading her, i guess you can find any editorial you think is suited , these are the instructions i received. For this lesson’s activity, you will be asked to:

  • Find an editorial to discuss. (See the lesson for more information on how to do this.) In order to do this, you will need to find an editorial. You can locate them through a Web search or in a newspaper to which you subscribe.

    • Assumptions
    • Tone
    • Purpose
    • Problematic ambiguity and vagueness
    • Facts
    • Opinions
    • Reasons and claims (noting where they don’t quite add up)
    • Your reaction to the quality of the information source and the sources cited (if any)
  • Select three paragraphs from the text to annotate. Then copy
the paragraphs and paste them on the assignment submission screen. Add
your comments in [brackets] to distinguish your ideas from the original
source. Your annotations should focus on the list of qualities mentioned
    above (assumptions, opinions, etc.).
  • After you annotate your paragraphs, write an additional two paragraphs of reflection.
    • Share your own reaction to the text and identify any biases
or personal experiences that might have impacted your reading of the
      text.
    • Focus on your conclusions as a reader. When all was said and
done, did you agree or disagree with the article? Why or why not? What
did you see as strong elements? How might this piece be improved?

Advocates in Organizations

Prior to beginning work on this discussion read Hill (2013) “Partnering with a Purpose: Psychologists as Advocates in Organizations,” Cohen, Lee, & McIlwraith (2012) “The Psychology of Advocacy and the Advocacy of Psychology,” Heinowitz, et al. (2012) “Identifying Perceived Personal Barriers to Public Policy Advocacy within Psychology,” Lewis, Ratts, Paladino, & Toporek (2011) “Social Justice Counseling and Advocacy: Developing New Leadership Roles and Competencies,” and Fox (2008) “Advocacy: The Key to the Survival and Growth of Professional Psychology” articles.

For this discussion, you will compare the various professional activities common to clinical and counseling psychologists and assume the role of an advocate for a client in one of the case studies from Case Studies in Abnormal Psychology (Gorenstein & Comer, 2015). Select a case study that has not been covered in this course or in the PSY645 course, and identify systemic barriers, sociopolitical factors, and multicultural issues impacting the client at the micro, meso, exo, and/or macro levels. Develop an action plan that outlines how you might advocate for the client at each appropriate level of the ecological model. Identify two potential partnerships that you would establish in order to support your client and those like him or her outside of the therapeutic environment.

Assignment 3: IT Support for Virtual Teams

Assignment 3: IT Support for Virtual Teams

Due Week 6 and worth 105 points

Global organizations have branches that are located in multiple countries. Some of these organizations develop software and take advantage of the global talent pool of software developers while others have global technical support teams, customer service, and so on. Virtual teams are created when two or more people work together from different locations, organizations, times zone, and / or time shifts. Global organizations use virtual teams in order to provide global support, reduce travel costs, reduce training costs, and take advantage of local cultural knowledge that may impact the organization’s operations.

Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

  1. Examine five (5) issues that the IT department is likely to face when it comes to supporting virtual teams.
  2. Create an architectural diagram that shows how the virtual teams would collaborate and access common repositories for documents, software, development, and testing facilities. Use Visio or an equivalent such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.
  3. Describe five (5) advantages and five (5) disadvantages of using virtual teams for the organizations described in the scenario.
  4. Describe challenges imposed by:
    1. IT / IS national standards and propose how they could be handled or resolved.
    2. Protocols and propose how they could be handled or resolved.
    3. Procedures on virtual teams and propose how they could be handled or resolved.
  1. Compare and contrast virtual teams and traditional teams with respect to communications, technology use, and team diversity.
  2. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Include charts or diagrams created in Visio or an equivalent such as Dia. The completed diagrams / charts must be imported into the Word document before the paper is submitted.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

  • Describe the process of administering enterprise systems, including the use of virtualization and monitoring, power and cooling issues.
  • Use technology and information resources to research issues in enterprise architecture.
  • Write clearly and concisely about enterprise architecture topics using proper writing mechanics and technical style conventions.

Grading for this assignment will be based on answer quality, logic / organization of the paper, and language and writing skills, using the following rubric.

Import Tariffs, Quotas, and Restrictions

In this module, we have outlined government policy toward import tariffs (taxes on imported goods as they enter a country), quotas (a limit on the quantity of a good that can be produced abroad and sold domestically), and restrictions (limitations on the quantity of goods imported/exported to a specific country). Trade can allow countries to use their national resources more efficiently, and it can allow industries and workers to be more productive. Trade may even allow countries to achieve higher living standards, and keep the cost of many everyday products low. Government regulation of trade has had a significant impact not only on global trade flows, but also on economic growth and prosperity. For this reason, it is useful to consider the main ways that governments have tended to regulate trade and, more recently, to deregulate it.

For this discussion activity, respond to the following prompts:

  • Research one item that is internationally traded and outline how this product flows from one country to the next.
  • Are any tariffs, quotas, or restrictions on this product being traded?
  • Has this product ever been under an embargo? If so, why?
  • Is there a distinct government policy for this product’s trade?
