Directional Strategies Report

GRADING RUBRIC MUST BE FOLLOWED

ANY OUTSIDE RESOURCES MUST BE WITHIN 5 YEARS OLD

Create a 3–5-page directional strategy report, as if you were preparing to present your assessment to a representative panel of employee stakeholders of a health care organization.

Questions to Consider:

  • What are the major categories of employee stakeholders in a health care organization of your choosing (such as executives, senior management, middle management, caregivers, maintenance, administrative support personnel, volunteers)?
  • What role does the board of directors play in your health care organization?
  • What are the important elements of an effective board of directors?
  • What is the process your organization uses to select members?
    • How effective is that process?
  • What are industry best practices for selecting board members for a health care organization?
  • How well do your organization’s strategies align with its published vision, mission, and values?
  • How does this organization’s environment support or hinder its alignment with its vision, mission, and values?

Assessments 1 and 2 must be completed before beginning this assessment.

Analyze the relevance of the organization’s directional strategy, including its vision, mission, values, and organizational culture. The goal is to focus upon application of the concepts and new insight. Keep it brief and substantive. Note: Feel free to construct images/diagrams to summarize information where appropriate (for example, TOWS matrix…).

Complete the following:

  • Review the mission, vision, and values statements of your health care organization.
  • Examine how well each statement addresses the components of a directional strategy.
  • Analyze the gap between the desired outcome and the actual state of the current environment.
  • Analyze the organization’s directional strategy, including its vision, mission, and values.
  • Examine the strategic “fit.”
    • Does the directional strategy fit the environment?
    • Is the organization headed in the right direction given the environmental assessment?
    • Does growth make sense right now or does maintaining the status quo or even contraction make better sense?
  • Recommend changes you would make to ensure a foundation necessary for the current structure and strategies of the organization. Note: Support your recommendations with relevant resources from the literature.

The Blind Man’s Daughter

Interpret the fairytale, “The Blind Man’s Daughter” by explaining what you think the story teaches about cultural values, morals, and behavior. Make specific references to the tale to clarify your points.

By the way, I got this essay written already by someone on this website, but my professor graded it and I didn’t get the grade I desired. He’s letting us rewrite it to raise our grade. I’m going to send pictures of the fairytale, my previously written essay, and the specific changes my professor told me to make. You can use the essay I wrote, and just make the necessary changes needed in order for me to have my grade raised.

Becoming Independent: The Rebellion Against Britain

Review the material from Section 3 of this week’s Webtext titled, “Becoming Independent: The Rebellion Against Britain” and the supplemental resource featured this week. Next, identify three (3) motivating factors for colonists that helped to ignite the American Revolution. If you were involved in the American Revolution which side would you choose? Justify your response.

INSTRUCTOR INSIGHTS

The prevailing mindset in our society is that the thirteen colonies seceded from Great Britain and declared their independence. Historically this is exactly what happened. In modern times, we often have a tendency to sweepingly apply the mindset of independence to all the citizens of the time period. However, it is important to remember that the colonies were deeply divided over the issue of independence. Most people actually favored loyalty to Britain rather than independence. Our modern, collective interpretation of American independence is an example of the old adage, “History is written by the victors.” In order to get a well-rounded understanding of the truth, it is important that we have an understanding of as many perspectives as possible.

Change Model and Implementation Plan in 500-750 words

*** please follow all guidelines, must be in APA format***

1. In 500-750 words (not including the title page and reference page), apply a change model to the implementation plan using the material attached. Include the following:

  • Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory is a particularly good theoretical framework to apply to an EBP project. However, you may also choose to use change models, such as Duck’s change curve model or the trans-theoretical model of behavioral change. Other conceptual models presented such as a utilization model (Stetler’s model) and EBP models (the Iowa model and ARCC model) can also be used as a framework for applying your evidence-based intervention in clinical practice.
  • Apply one of the above models and carry your implementation through each of the stages, phases, or steps identified in the chosen model.
  • Create a conceptual model of the project.

2. In 500-750 words (not including the title page and reference page), provide a description of the methods to be used to implement the proposed solution using the material attached. Include the following:

  • Describe the setting and access to potential subjects. If there is a need for a consent or approval form, then one must be created.
  • Describe the amount of time needed to complete this project. Create a timeline. Make sure the timeline is general enough that it can be implemented at any date.
  • Describe the resources (human, fiscal, and other) or changes needed in the implementation of the solution. Consider the clinical tools or process changes that would need to take place. Provide a resource list.
  • Describe the methods and instruments, such as a questionnaire, scale, or test to be used for monitoring the implementation of the proposed solution. Develop the instruments.
  • Explain the process for delivering the (intervention) solution and indicate if any training will be needed.
  • Provide an outline of the data collection plan. Describe how data management will be maintained and by whom. Furthermore, provide an explanation of how the data analysis and interpretation process will be conducted. Develop the data collection tools that will be needed.
  • Describe the strategies to deal with the management of any barriers, facilitators, and challenges.
  • Establish the feasibility of the implementation plan. Address the costs for personnel, consumable supplies, equipment (if not provided by the institute), computer related costs (librarian consultation, database access, etc.), and other costs (travel, presentation development). Make sure to provide a brief rationale for each. Develop a budget plan.
  • Describe the plans to maintain, extend, revise, and discontinue a proposed solution after implementation.

Manufacturing Operations Management Assignment

Read the following:

  • Shouldice Hospital – Harvard Case No. 9-683-068

Shouldice Hospital Limited.pdf

Answer the following questions:

  1. How successful is the Shouldice Hospital? Generate a
Profit & Loss statement using available information from the case.
Treat each of the two operations—hospital and the surgery—separately.
  2. How do you account for its successful performance?
  3. Prepare a patient process flow diagram from arrival
through surgery and determine the capacities at each stage. For this
diagram, only indicate major points in the process, e.g., admitting,
examination, operating room surgeries, etc. Use the actual hours of operation
for each step in the process to determine the capacity of each step. Where
    is the bottleneck?
  4. Do a detailed analysis of potential on-site capacity
expansion alternatives (on a per week basis). Assume an average of 3.5
days stay at the hospital for each patient, including surgery, and Sunday
admits. This means that half the patients spend three days while the other
    half spend four days.

It may help to use an exhibit
similar to the following to do this analysis.

Choose one of the questions

1) Write about how a comedian has changed your mind about or made you rethink a cultural issue. The issue or issues can be anything from politics to race to sexuality to drugs to religion to education to war to gender to love to bacon to death to language to anything that a comedian has made you reconsider.

The paper should first describe your initial position/feelings about the issue, then present your interpretation of the comedian’s point of view, and finally illustrate how it has changed your beliefs, positively or negatively from where you began.

You can use any comedian(s) you want, from class or not. If nothing else, it’s an excuse to spend hours on end trolling for stand-up clips.

2) This paper topic allows the student to become the Master for once. It’s your chance to decide what should be on the syllabus. Between now and the due date, your assignment is to watch TWO comedians with similar thematic elements on your own, or with friends and family… or a pet of whom you’re particularly fond. Once you watch them, imagine you’re responsible for leading a discussion about them. What would you impart to your students about humor, stand-up, and any specific issues that these performers represent? It is important that you actually watch the comedians you discuss, because ideally, this class will have changed the way you think about comedy you’ve seen 20 times. You’re getting college credit to watch funny people: appreciate that, don’t take it for granted.

4-5 pages.

History Since 1865

Question 1 (300 words): In modern American culture we encounter history in a wide variety of ways. We see it in memes like the ones above. Many people associate it with the History Channel even though their programming seems to focus a good bit more on things like “swamp people” than on anything you might call history. And we hear it mentioned quite often in by elected officials and those seeking election to office.

In this discussion, I’d like to hear your thoughts about the place of history in American culture and society. Do you think that Americans value knowledge of the past and informed consideration of it? Why or why not?

Question 2 (300 words): For this discussion, carefully read the first of the two Voices of Freedom primary sources on page 660 of the Give Me Liberty! textbook. (This week we’re only looking at the one source.) This source presented here is text from one of Franklin Roosevelt’s Fireside Chats, radio addresses that he broadcast to the whole nation. In your response, explain how you think he defines liberty and the role that government should play in securing it for the American people. In addition, spell out how you see these ideas fitting with FDR’s New Deal programs during the Depression Era.

In your response you should use evidence from the primary sources to prove your point. Typically this requires a three-step process of making your assertions about the issue, giving the reader evidence that proves your point (usually by providing a brief quotation from the text), and then fully explaining to the reader why the evidence proves your point.

Note: Please don’t forger to do citation… Thanks you!

Wk 7 Discussion Egoism vs Ethics of Care

First, you will read the Virtue of Selfishness. Week 6.pdf

After ready the virtue of selfishness you will do this one :

  1. Do you find both or either of these theories are at the same level as Utilitarianism, Deontology, Rights Theory, and Virtue Ethics?
  2. The only two ethical theories we are studying from the 20th century were from women. Do you find that these theories are at odds with one another or compatible? In what ways specifically?
  3. In Death of Nature we read that women who challenge the status quo are often demonized and rejected. Do you think that either of these philosophers would have been received differently if they were not women? How do you think their gender has shaped the way they have been received by society? (You may want to read some secondary sources to answer this question if you are unfamiliar with their background)

Please post your one page answer by the end of Thursday. By the end of Sunday, please give two responses to your classmates giving critical feedback. This is less about an absolute right or wrong answer so please give a thoughtful answer. You are also free in this section to tell any personal or professional stories to make your points.

you just only write 150 words it is well
