week 7 response 2

I need to respond to this in 300-400 words in A.P.A. format with 2 scholary sources

Rehabilitation is very beneficial to inmates in becoming a productive citizen within there community upon release. So many different programs are offered within the present correctional system that has had a positive outcome for inmates who leave prison more knowledgeable than when they entered. James (2015) states,”Offender reentry is a complex issue that touches on a wide range of social and governmental networks and programs. Policies affecting prisoners depend on a variety of factors, including the availability of funding for social programs within the communities” (p.7). The programs are put into place for prisoners however you can’t make them enter into certain programs they have to be willing to own there own.

The primary pupose of these programs is to provide a positive light once getting out with enhanced job skills and work experences to improve the likelihood of gaining employment and staying away from crime. According to Matthew 22:36-38 (King James Version) [KJV] “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” If inmates are better equipped with the necessary tools to enter society then there should be no fear in living next to a rehabilitated citizen of the community. Garcia (2017) claims, “Programs that help offenders gain a renewed footing in the community start behind bars and continue after release” (p.3). Giving inmates a second chance and doing there time is to be afforded an equal opportunity to get back on their feet again speaks volumes to the rehabilitated individual.

World Lit Essay Rustem and Dante’s Inferno

NO plagiarism. I need a 100% original paper. If you are not familiar with the Shahnameh epic and the poem, Dante’s inferno please do not take on this assignment. You will need a good understanding of both. Please choose one of the people noted below from Dante’s Inferno to compare to Rustem and let me know which character you choose. I put those characters in bold. You will basically be comparing each hero’s values and their society’s values to one another based upon on what each society considered a hero.

For this assignment, write a 4-5 paragraph essay in the same manner as you did for Writing Assignment #1 on one of the topics below. Don’t forget to review the guidelines for How to Succeed in the Written Assignments and the Sample paper in MLA format.. All writing assignments have Turnitin enabled for plagiarism detection.

1. Unit 1B’s introduction to the Five Great Themes of World Literature states with regard to the hero: “The surest way to understand what a culture of the past most values is to focus on what it considers heroic, in that a culture recognizes its heroes as embodying its most important ideas, the values that are essential.” Discuss the diverse values that our two epic heroes, Rustem and Dante, embody. Which values embodied by these epic heroes are endorsed or celebrated by their societies? Are any of their values condemned or rejected by their societies? Illustrate your discussion with specific examples of the heroes’ obligations to their societies and what their values reflect about their cultures.

From the Shahnameh your essay will of course focus on Rustem; for Dante, you have many options, but the following characters and their sad stories make especially good choices for the subject (but you can choose others if you wish; just one will do): Virgil, Francesca, Pier della Vigna, Brunetto Latini, Guido de Montefeltro.

Review the following video created by the George William Hooper Law Library posted under Week 6’s Required Resources’ module in connection with this case study:

“Secondary Sources: Legal Encyclopedias” (Links to an external site.)

After viewing the above video, review the following fact pattern and answer the questions presented in Steps 1-4 below.

A new client, Taffy Apple, appeared at the office asking for advice on estate planning. She met with your supervisor, William Ferret. After you and Mr. Ferret interviewed Taffy, Mr. Ferrett discussed some options that she could consider. Taffy is a single mother. She has one son, Jonathan Apple, who left home eight years ago when he was 16 and has not been in contact with Taffy more than four or five times during those eight years. Because she was lonely, Taffy became a foster mother to Jeremy Orange who was 11 at the time. While Jeremy was in school, Taffy attended all the school functions as his “mother” and referred to him as “son” when she spoke. During the past eight years, Jeremy has lived with her. At the time she came to the office he was attending a local community college for which Taffy helped Jeremy pay. In fact, Jeremy was with her during her initial client conference with you and Mr. Ferret. She made another appointment for the following week.

Unfortunately, Taffy died before her next appointment. She had not completed any estate plans and she did not have a will. During her initial interview she was adamant that Jeremy was to receive part of her estate. Jeremy wants to know if he can claim any part of the extensive estate that Taffy left.

  1. First Step: List key words and phrases that you might use to search a legal encyclopedias for information to address Taffy’s legal matter.
  2. Second Step: Determine what two (2) legal encyclopedias would be most appropriate to research Taffy’s legal matter.
  3. Third Step: Using your key words and phrases, conduct a search, and access two relevant legal encyclopedias you identified in Step 2 either using a free internet resource or Westlaw (via the Berkeley College Online Library). Cite your secondary sources and explain your method of accessing them. For example, did you use a free service on the Internet? Did you use Westlaw?
  4. Fourth Step: Review the two secondary sources you used to identify two relevant primary sources. Briefly review these sources for the connection to the secondary sources you used. Is there a relevant connection? Explain your answer.
