This week, your assignment is going to be pieced together. You have created a business, identified trending issues, identified possible other ethical issues and done your best to get all of your employees on board.

All that is left is the presentation itself. For your submission this week you are asked to put together a PowerPoint presentation for your employees with accompanying/corresponding presenter notes for your reader. public policy in the United States. Specifically, we have compared US history and policy.
We have discussed issues as far back as colonization, Transatlantic Slave Trade, to
current issues associated with policing, the mass prison industrial complex , as well as
new forms of racialized public policy in the 20th and 21st century.

For your final paper I want you to address the following: Using current event/s
discuss a U.S. public policy of your choosing. You must clearly address how the public

community building session

The planning for the community building session is almost complete. The last details are how to conduct the plenary sessions for sharing information across groups to develop key priorities and themes that will need to be addressed.

There are 2 sessions that need to be planned. One is to review the work done by intact work teams. In this larger session, the goal is to spot patterns and identify themes that can be used to plan actions. These patterns or themes will come from the stop–continue–start charts developed by each functional group. In this way, not only will the changes that need to happen be identified, but aspects of effective work (those things that work well and should be continued) can also be reinforced.

The external consulting team strongly recommended a “cross-functional, by-level grouping” for the first step. Their aim is to promote understanding of priorities and show how different issues at different levels of the organization can be aligned. The internal consulting team is excited about being the primary facilitators for these sessions. Everyone recognizes that a structured approach will be critical (for timing and to control decision–making inputs). The approach called Nominal Group Technique (NGT) seems to be ideally suited to this task.

You want to prepare yourself for conducting the session. Use the library, Internet, or other resources to research NGT. Because each grouping will be of a differing size, you want to tailor the overall steps of NGT to the situation you will facilitate. To do this, you must create a meeting session plan (a document of 4–5 pages) that will answer the following questions:

  • What is the goal of the session?
  • How will the nominal group technique be used to achieve this goal?
  • How will the members of the team work together (guidelines for effective participation)?
  • What specific steps and tasks will be involved in achieving the goal?
  • How much time will be allocated to each step or task? What voting mechanism is most appropriate for the size of the group and the specific stage of the process?
  • What will the outcome look like? What will the group present to the other levels?

Module 05 Course Project – Performance Management Proposal

You now have been tasked with Performance Management, another role and responsibility as a Human Resource Manager. It’s important to have a performance management plan set before the position is hired for. This is for a few reasons:

  • Reduces the chance of bias in a performance evaluation.
  • Reduces the chance of the performance evaluation not aligning to the position.
  • Sets expectations and standards that the new hire is aware of upfront.
  • Enables all persons of a position to be evaluated on the same criterion.

Since you are new as a Human Resource Manager, and the Claims Supervisor is a new position, you need to have a plan for a performance management system of the position. You are aware, from the job description, that it will require performance measurements that are both qualitative (text-based) and quantitative (numbers-based).

As the Human Resource Manager for Premium Auto Insurance, it is your role and responsibility to ensure you have a management performance system without bias, that is legal and ethical, and that the performance system aligns to the position.

Conduct academic research using the library’s databases, like Business Source Complete via EBSCO and Business via ProQuest, as well as reliable webpages and create a minimum 4 page proposal to the CEO in which you complete the following for approval of a performance management system for the new position, Claims Supervisor:

  1. Description of the categories to be measured.
  2. Description of ratings to be used.

You want to identify sources where the author of the article is listed; if they’ve referenced other sources, you should investigate those primary sources to ensure they accurately support the way in which they were used. Wikipedia is not considered a credible source.
