Part-1: Classification of Drugs Worksheet

In this part of the assignment you will be researching musculoskeletal, analgesic, and anti-infective medications. You will choose 3 medications for each classification and use the worksheet provided to include the following for each of the drugs:

1. generic and brand name
2. possible side effects and contraindications
3. recommended adult dosage
4. routes of administration / drug forms
5. therapeutic use
6. pregnancy category
7. the drug reference used

Part-2: Complete a Prescription

In this part of the assignment you will be completing a prescription based on the information provided in the worksheet’s scenario. Review this Parts of the Prescription document to help you complete this activity.

a. As an integral part of the IEP/504 team, how would you prepare for this meeting?
The main thing to keep in mind when working with children with disabilities is to be positive and encouraging. So for the meeting I would represent the positive side of things.

b. What are three important items to consider about this student before making any recommendations to the committee (e.g. what need might the child have) ?
A child with disabilities may need special supplies, special desk, and their own personal space.

c. What information is important to know about mild hearing disability and how will that information affect performance/learning/behavior in the classroom?
You should remember that child hears things in a fog like manner. Things that they hear are not completely clear. This will affect the learning,performance and behavior because even though the can somewhat the hearing is foggy and may cause confusion.

d. What are two accommodations that might be beneficial for this student and why ?
You make sure you are there to assist the child and be encouraging because this will help the child feel special.

e. What is one modification that will help this student and why?
When you are assisting this child you should remember to remain in a positive state of mind because the student could be impressionable .

f. Lastly, what are the differences between accommodations and modifications ?
The difference is with accommodations the child has to participate in the assessments and with modifications they do not have to participate.

for the analysis, and will incorporate information from external sources

  and admired productions in our own time. Yet, he was a blatantly antisemitic and
  held notions of racial purity, traits that have stained his artistic legacy.
  (This was compounded by the later celebration of Wagner’s music by Hitler and
  the Nazis). New York Times writer Anthony Tommasini wrote of Wagner in 2005:

Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town

A book review is a critical piece of writing which usually either praises or more often criticizes
a book. I do not have any must have’s or absolute requirements but generally a good book review
which will get a grade of A will meet these requirements: 1) 12 point New Times Roman font, double
spaced, 2) the name of the author printed on the top of the first page together with a the title of the book
reviewed as well as a separate title of your book review if you choose to have one, your name and the
names of those in your group, 3) be at least 4 pages long, and 4) be excellent work which means it has
to have evidence of independent thought and contain the reviewer’s opinion about the book, not just a
mere restatement of the thesis of the author.
