Please respond with a paragraph to the following question, add citations and references:

The nursing field is a fast paced, ever changing field to be in. With the new changes from the 2010 IOM, nurses are evolving to have a firm stand in the medical field; to be leaders, innovators and collaborator with other members of the healthcare tea. These are some huge changes to the field and therefore nurses need a higher level of education to be better equip to be placed in these positions. According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing; several studies have concluded that lower patient incident occurred with nurses who have a higher level of education- BSN (AACN, n.d). A higher level of education is linked to a significantly better prepared than an ADN in areas such as quality, safety and provide higher standard of care to patient. I am a firm believer that experience and critical thinking are essential tools for the nursing field. Obviously new graduates will not have experience however the preceptor who has experience is a huge asset. Obtaining a BSN degree aid graduate nurses to be better equipped with knowledge, critical thinking, leadership skills and hands on experience than ADN nurses.

As the new changes demand a higher level of education to correlate with the increase in nursing responsibilities; a higher number of BSN nurses are in demand. To be leaders in our field we must have the knowledge to lead, the knowledge of our field and the tool to accomplish it. The ANA belief that the increasing complexity of nursing care requires a higher level of educational standard (Spetz, J., & Bates, T., 2013).

  • Discuss the elements of creativity, risk taking, problem solving, and any other elements that you believe helped the leader to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Evaluate how success was measured as a result of the changes made by that leader.
  • As an individual who is on your own path to becoming a transformational leader, what recommendations would you make for how the leader in the case study could have managed the situation better?

Module 04 Course Project – Motivation and Mistaken Behaviors

Hey do you remember me from last week . You have done module 3 course project which is ” Module 3 course project: Subject needs analysis interests and culture”

. It is the duration of the same project. Can you do that too by considering the same child that you made it up last week?

Module 4: Motivation and Mistaken Behavior

This week you will continue your Individual Guidance Plan Case Study by looking more closely challenging behaviors and the “why” behind the behavior.

NOTE: This week’s assignment should include at least one resource to substantiate your point of view. This resource can come from the course, the Rasmussen College Library or credible websites (Wikipedia, About.com and blogs are not considered credible websites). Incorporate your resource into your paper using in-text citations and a reference page in APA format.

In your analysis this week, you will choose three challenging behaviors which might be visible with your fictional child, based on development. For each challenging behavior you will research the behavior, the possible causes of the behavior and the developmental influence on the behavior. Finally, you will look to your fictional child and determine how or why your fictional child might and might not exhibit these behaviors in their daily life. Throughout your analysis, you will use resources to support your claims.

Step One: Choose three challenging behaviors which might be seen with your fictional child’s age group. Your choice may cross-over age groups based on your child’s individual story.

Challenging Behavior for a 2 year-old child Challenging Behavior for a 4-year-old child
Biting Hitting or pinching
Cyring uncontrollably Screaming at others
Laying on other children Wrestling with others
Taking other children’s toys Destroying work or materials
Throwing toys and materials Disruptive to others at naptime

Step Two: Use the following in your analysis.

  • Using the Rasmussen College Library and/or favorite internet search engine, research your chosen challenging behaviors; look for possible causes and developmental influence. You will need at least one credible resource for this assignment.
  • Describe each behavior and the possible causes and developmental influences for this challenging behavior. If this is mistaken behavior, describe why you believe so. What is the child really trying to say or what do they really need. If this is not mistaken behavior, describe why you believe so.
  • Using your fictional child’s biography you created, determine how and why your child might or might not exhibit each behavior. Be sure to cover each challenging behavior you chose. If your chosen behaviors cross-over the age groups, be sure to explain why.

Be sure to include your reference in a reference page and use in-text citations where needed. Include a title page in APA Format. The paper length (2-3pages) does not include your reference page or title page.

Virtual Field Trip – CWE

We are going on a virtual field trip as a Class!
1. Each class member will visit the Center for Writing Excellence (CWE) found in the University of Phoenix Library. Under the Writing Resources, select the “Tutorials & Guides” link and begin your exploration. Identify two (2) resources that you found useful.
2. Describe, in detail (300- to 750-words), what those resources are and how they will be beneficial to you in this week’s assignment as well as future assignments.
3. Post your findings in the Virtual Field Trip Link posted here. (Do not attach it as a word document but place your response in the body of the message).
4. Discuss your findings with your classmates. 50% of your grade will be based on your initial post (#2) and 50% will be based on your discussion with your fellow classmates. To earn a full 50% for participation, post a minimum of 2 discussion posts in addition to your initial findings post.

Accepting Cultural Differences

Earl Whitecloud is an American high-school student. He is constantly teased and bullied by his classmates because he occasionally wears clothing that represents his Native-American heritage. As a result, Earl spends most of his time at school alone, is absent far more than the average student, and performs poorly at school.

As Earl’s teacher, who acutely perceives the problem, you decide to devote a class period to talking about diversity and accepting cultural differences.

What three points will you emphasize the most and why?

Will you involve Earl in the discussion? Why or why not?

Chapter summery

Chapter summary should be its own self-contained explanation of that chapter. The summary paper should succinctly summarize the important points and events of that chapter. Each summary document should be 2 pages excluding the title page. The document should be double spaced with a font size no larger than 12, no smaller than 10.

I need 2 summaries, one for chapter 5 and one for chapter 6. Two separate summaries. Two files, 2 pages each.

The book is: Between Two Fires A Fire History of Contemporary America, Stephen J. Pyne. ISBN 978-0816532148

Also, answer the following questions on a separate file, (Summarize briefly what the FLAME act is and give your thoughts on whether you think it is the conclusion of 40 years worth fire policy making or whether it is really just another legislative attempt to control fire.) (The author lists some possible cause(s) for the increase in the number of mega fires that have been occurring since the the 1980s. What are some of these causes and do you agree or disagree? If you agree, then what can be done to reverse the situation? If you disagree, the explain what you think are the causes. )

Co teaching Interventions

Imagine you have a student with autism in your class. He is
struggling with working in a group, getting along with other students,
and interacting at age-appropriate levels within the group. You
regularly use group work for assignments, often daily. You find that
your student with autism has meltdowns during each and every group
work session. Sometimes he even has these meltdowns before you put
students in groups, as he anticipates the overstimulation before it
even occurs. Other students have expressed concerns and have asked to
not work with him and not be in his group. When meltdowns occur, they
affect the entire classroom for several minutes. The outbursts range
from mild to moderate, from tantrums to crying or shutting down.

In an essay of 500-750 words, explain:

  1. How you would intervene and de-escalate the student with
    autism.
  2. How you would intervene and debrief the other
students in the class after a meltdown.
  3. Proactive ways to
    prevent outbursts in the future.
  4. How you would collaborate
with a co-teacher to seek a solution for the situation.
  5. What support you and your co-teacher might need to engage and
    support all students.
  6. Ethical and legal concerns with
sharing information with the class and other professionals.

Support your findings with a minimum of two scholarly resources.
