Technology has changes the way people live, assignment help

The essay that I have submitted it, it has two different topics and it needs to be revised to one of the two.

The comment I have got is: Your point seems to be that online material is not to be trusted, so prove that. The paragraph about blogs does not show about blogs that are not trustworthy. The part about media bias is not really about digital media. Technically, broadcast television is not simply digital media in the way we commonly use that term (it is the same as it was when it was analog media, for example).
But the big problem is the blogs paragraph.
Also, I realize you are likely not a native speaker of English and I will give you a break on that, but in the revision, perhaps get some help proofreading.

Essay #2: Digital Conversations

Assignment: Drawing on two or three relevant,
reliable sources, write a 3-5 page essay taking a stance on one of the
issues Graff and Birkenstein raise about digital communication in
chapter 13 of They Say / I Say. (Don’t bother including a
summary of Graff and Birkenstein since they themselves are basically
just summarizing the various issues being addressed in the
digital-communications conversation.)

Approaching the Assignment: As with Essay #1,
you will need to organize this paper around a substantial, original
argument of your own and to support that argument with plenty of vivid
descriptions, details, stories, and/or reasons. I also expect you to
find a couple good sources (preferably from our school’s library
databases) so that you can incorporate a few relevant quotations,
paraphrases, and/or summaries. But, again, don’t let those sources
hijack your essay; they should supplement your argument, not displace
it. To that end, I recommend coming up with a tentative outline and some
supporting evidence of your own before you do any serious research.

In other words, start with a bit of basic preliminary research just
to get a general sense of what people are saying about your topic. Then
do some brainstorming and compose an outline to decide where you
yourself stand on the issue. Finally, use that outline to determine what
types of sources you’ll actually need and how/where you’d like to use
them in your essay. And, yes, you should definitely address the
opposition and incorporate any other potential naysayers as well as some
discussion of who should care about your argument and why (see TS/IS,
chapter 7, which we’ll talk about next Wednesday).

Requirements checklist:

____ 1. Your final draft must contain at least three full, correctly formatted pages—plus a correctly formatted works cited page to acknowledge your sources.

____ 2. The sources themselves should be at least two or three pages
in length (longer would be better) and include substantial, thoughtfully
developed arguments related to whatever specific topic you’ve decide to
write about.

____ 3. Entries from encyclopedias, dictionaries, and/or other
reference materials do not count toward the minimum source requirement –
although you should of course cite them if you actually quote them.

____ 4. Be sure to frame all quotations and to use signal verbs (and citations, if needed) when you summarize or paraphrase.

____ 5. Please attach your sources to the final draft of your essay
with a paper clip so that I can give you credit for your annotations and
offer feedback on your use of source material.

____ 6. Check the daily schedule and Canvas regularly for due dates of the various tasks related to this assignment.

____7. If you’d like extra feedback, check the tutoring schedule posted outside Room 309 (or come see me), but plan ahead.

____8. Finally, remember that any work you submit in this class must be composed by you specifically for this class.
In other words, do NOT recycle papers from other classes or present
someone else’s writing and/or ideas as your own. When you borrow the
work of others, be sure to cite that work using the conventions
described in the green section of your handbook.

Discussion and response

Assignment 1

Go to www.cnbc.com and explore the video tab using the key term diversification. As you learned in this unit, there are various sources of information. Watch at least three videos you find, list the videos you viewed, and provide a summary of the type of information that the video contained and how it relates to this unit. Suppose you win the lottery. What would you do if you decided to invest the money in the market? How would you diversify your portfolio and why?

Assignment 2

Please respond to my classmate response to the discussion question.

The first video I watched on diversification suggested that individuals investing in the market should steer away from the U.S. dollar (www.cnbc.com, 2018). The speaker acknowledge the fact that the U.S. dollar was the most successful, yet one should consider investing in other markets,e.g. the yen. (www.cnbc.com, 2018). The second video was an interview with the CEO of a successful technology company (www.cnbc.com, 2018). The speaker explained that diversification is one of the primary ways to grow a company in the market place (www.cnbc.com, 2018). The third video I watched was of a CEO who credited the success of his company’s 6% increase to great execution of diversification (www.cnbc.com, 2018). If I one the lottery, I would most likely invest in several companies. I’m not sure exactly which companies I would invest with at the moment because it would require much research for me. However, one of the investments will be made with a company overseas.

1Claudio:Diversion discussion

Although studies show that diversion programs can be helpful for juveniles, other studies also show concern about such programs. Some programs are limited and can not be pursued to their full extent in order not to violate the persons civil rights. Also diversion programs have shown that at times in stead of helping juveniles rehabilitate they can at times cause recidivism which is the complete opposite outcome such programs are aiming for. Some studies have also shown that juveniles involved in diversion programs can also be victims of labeling by peers because they take part in such therapy or group sessions which can cause an increased perception of labeling for them.

2Selim:Diversion discussion

Some of the advantages you can take from this program is people care about the person committing these crimes. They put someone in front of these juveniles that care and it kind of helps them out in life knowing that there is someone wanting them to do better in life. These are life experiences that they probably don’t receive at home or get any type of help from others. If you look at it majority of these juveniles come from broken homes and have no one around them except people that are steering them in the wrong direction.

As these treatments continue people start believing in themselves and start thinking different. People that are the ones talking are encourage them to do better and change for the better.

+ main post around 200 words (1-2 paragraphs)post on YOU BE THE JUDGE:

Mike is a 13-year old male on trial for burglarizing a neighbor’s house. He already has a juvenile record. At age 11 he was arrested for shoplifting. The store owner declined to press charges. He was released. At age 12, he was arrested and placed on probation for drug possession. You are the judge assigned to this case. You must now make a decision. You can place Mike on probation and allow him to be monitored by probation staff and maintain the conditions of probation. OR You can place Mike in a secure correctional facility for up to 3 years. You have to decide!

Be sure to defend your stance. Refer back to the goals of corrections. Identify pros of your stance and cons of the other. Which goals and philosophy of juvenile corrections influence you the most? You are free to make up details of the case if necessary to support your answer.

The Impact of Psychosocial Health

Psychosocial, or psychological health “…is the sum of how we think, feel, relate, and exist in our day-to-day lives” (Donatelle, 2019, p. 39). People who experience positive psychosocial health are able to respond to negative situations with resilience. Characteristics of a person with positive psychosocial health include: positive self-esteem; a strong sense of self; social confidence; effective management of stress, anxiety, and demands on life; a positive outlook on life; valuing diversity; and a respectful attitude toward others and their environments (pp. 39-40).

Psychosocial health can have a significant impact on personal health and wellness, such as a sleep deprivation, stress, and addiction. Stress is one dimension of psychosocial health that is characterized as a “mental and physical response and adaptation by our bodies to the real or perceived changes and challenges in our lives” (Donatelle, 2019, pp. 74). Individual stress responses may lead to sleep deprivation and chronic physical conditions such as ulcers or high blood pressure. It may also lead people to engage in coping strategies that may be unhealthy. For example, a person who is experiencing a high level of stress may seek solace in alcohol, nicotine, food, or other substances to which he or she may become addicted.

To sustain or improve psychosocial health, it is essential that individuals learn effective coping behaviors to reduce and manage stress. Such behaviors might include exercise, relaxation techniques, or meditation. Effective coping behaviors can have a dramatic impact in managing stress and reducing health risks.

To prepare:

  • Review Chapter 2 in Health: The basics, 13th edition. Pay attention to the dimension of psychosocial health and how it impacts health and wellness.
  • Review Chapter 3 in Health: The basics, 13th edition. Consider how stress can impact psychosocial health and the physical implications of stress. Focus on coping strategies to reduce stress.
  • Review the media “Dimensions of Health Wheel.” Consider the definition and characteristics of psychosocial health.
  • Review the media “Dimensions of Health Wheel.” Reflect on the relationship between stress and personal health and wellness. Consider strategies you use to manage stress.
  • Review the article “The emotional brain and sleep: An intimate relationship.” Consider the impact of sleep deprivation on personal health and wellness.

With these thoughts in mind:

Select one of the three Discussion Questions.

Post a description of the strategies you use to manage stress and explain why you use them. Then explain whether your strategies are similar or different from the strategies in the Learning Resources and explain why yours may be just as effective. Finally, explain which strategy you consider to be most important in improving health and wellness, and why.

OR

Post an explanation of the relationship between sleep and stress. Provide two examples from either your personal experience or the current literature. Then, explain how sleep might impact health and wellness, and why.

OR

Post an explanation of the how addictive behaviors can impact health and wellness. Provide two examples. Then, explain two psychosocial factors that might influence addictive behaviors.

This is for organasational structure one page discussion

  • Review the information presented in Chapter 12 of the course text. Focus on the information about formal versus informal structure as well as the types of organizational structures.
  • Consider the overall structure or hierarchy of your organization or one with which you are familiar. Which organizational structure best describes your organization—line (or bureaucratic), ad hoc, matrix, service line, or flat? Note: It is possible to have a combination of structures in one organization. Is decision making centralized or decentralized in this organization?
  • What is the role of committees, task forces, and councils in the organization, and who is invited to join? Consider how this relates to formal and informal leadership.
  • Reflect on how decisions are made within a specific department or unit. Which stakeholders provide input or influence the decision-making process? Assess this in terms of formal and informal leadership.
  • To support your analysis, consider your own experiences and investigate these matters by speaking with others at the organization and reviewing available documents. Be sure to consider how the concepts of formal and informal structure and leadership relate to one another and are demonstrated in the organization and in the particular department or unit.

By Day 3

Post a depiction of your organization’s formal structure, indicating whether it is best described as line, ad hoc, matrix, service line, flat, or a combination. Describe how decisions are made within the organization and within one department or unit in particular, noting relevant attributes of centralized/decentralized decision making. Explain the influence of formal and informal leadership on decision making within this department or unit.

Critical Thinking

1. In this module, we’re continuing our work on critical thinking, and in particular, writing as a way of thinking. Central to the topic is a focus on examining and evaluating assumptions, which often, but not always, go unstated. And in particular, we read in the textbook this week a “letter of response” to a short article. These are often called “letters to the editor”, because readers of newspapers and magazine will write to the editor to reply to some story or article that they’ve read. You usually find these on the back page of the physical paper, and they’re usually published to the paper’s website. Here are some examples: Atlanta Journal Constitution, Tampa Bay Times (under “letters”), New York Times, The Washington Post. These letters will be argumentative — i.e., they’re arguing for some point, usually that the author of the original article is wrong or has omitted some fact. They’re also usually very short; less than 100 words. Thus, they’ll generally contain lots of assumptions, usually unstated. Your job in your first post is to choose a letter to the editor, either from the above newspapers, or your favorite hometown paper, and identify the assumptions in the letter. There will usually be several, so try to pick out and enumerate (that is, number) at least three, and explain why they are assumptions of your letter. Give a quick overview of the article and the letter, provide a link or citation to the letter and, if possible, to the article that the letter addresses.

In your third post, write a short essay (200-250 words, two or three paragraphs) in which you address each of the questions in the “checklist for examining assumptions” (p.28 8/e). Remember that you’re writing about someone else’s letter that you claimed, not the one you identified. You should make good use of the assumptions that the student found, in addition to any that you’re able to identify. The idea here is that we’re identifying, and then examining, assumptions; so focus your writing on this subject. You are writing an essay, not a list of bullet points. Don’t “attach”: simply copy/paste your essay into the discussion box.

The first should be a short discussion and the 2nd should be an essay

democracy in decline

please write a rough draft of an argumentative paper about this question ” Is support for democracy declining throughout the world, and if so, what are the causes and consequences?” MLA style

Here’s a checklist for your paper:
1) have you formatted your paper according to MLA style?

2) Does your thesis come at the end of the introduction?

3) Is your thesis argumentative?

4) After the introduction and thesis, give FACTS to show the extent of the issue. Cite the sources You’re free to use graphs but make sure to cite them.
Some of you are writing about issues concerning which there’s hard evidence available; others are writing about problems that have to do with disagreements about some issue. For example, if you are interested in evaluating the debate regarding AI, you’d have to convince the reader that there’s evidence that there’s disagreement about what direction AI development should take. In this case, the evidence you’d provide would be quotes from researchers that show that they disagree about how we should approach AI.
On the other hand, if you are writing about the causes and consequences of rising income inequality, then in the facts section you’d give us evidence that shows that income inequality is rising.

5) After the facts section, argue whether or not you think the facts point to a problem. For instance, if you are looking at the declining rate of marriage, decide whether or not the declining rate is a problem. If you don’t think it is a problem, then you should argue against those who think it is a problem.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE READER SHOULD BE CONVINCED WHETHER OR NOT SOMETHING IS A PROBLEM.

6) After you’ve proven that something is a problem, talk about the consequences (THREE) of the problem. For example, if the problem you are looking at is that social media use among kids is growing, then you should give us the consequences of this practice and cite the evidence. Again, you’d have to argue why the growing rate of social media use is a problem.

7) After the consequences, give us THREE reasons why the problem exists and then give evidence to support your reasons.

Here’s a sample paragraph:

Economic stress is one of the major reasons for the decline of marriage. According to research done by X, 80% of marriages end primarily because of disagreements about finances. ( citation ) In addition, research done by Professor X has shown that those who divorce are less likely to marry again within 5 years ( citation). This latter phenomenon reduces the marriage rate even further.

8) Finally, make sure to provide some solutions that are practical.

9) Edit for the most common errors and insert Grammarly to your browser.

Review Chapter 49 of the Arcangelo and Peterson HIV and complecency

To prepare:
  • Review Chapter 49 of the Arcangelo and Peterson text, as well as the Krummenacher et al. and Scourfield articles in the Learning Resources.
  • Reflect on whether or not the prevalence of HIV cases might be attributed to increased complacency due to more advanced drug treatment options for HIV/AIDS.
  • Consider how health care professionals can help to change perceptions and make people more aware of the realities of the disease.
  • Think about strategies to educate HIV positive patients on medication adherence, as well as safe practices to reduce the risk of infecting others.

With these thoughts in mind:

Post an explanation of whether or not you think the prevalence of HIV cases might be attributed to increased complacency due to more advanced drug treatment options. Then, explain how health care professionals can help to change perceptions and increase awareness of the realities of the disease. Finally, describe strategies to educate HIV positive patients on medication adherence, as well as safe practices to reduce the risk of infecting others.
